  • This video explains everything.  Gas/oil reserves and rare minerals are not the main reason.  Controlling the arctic region and a newer, faster and cheaper global trade route is the main goal.  The gals in this video did a lot of homework.

  • Half of Greenland's revenue comes from Denmark. It's even more remote than Alaska and Arctic Canada. You're not getting an independent Greenland anytime soon. It's not sustainable.

  • Right.  And as the video I posted explains, there's no way Greenland has the manpower to manage/build a global canal.  Canada probably doesn't either.  Which is why a combo of all 3 countries is being discussed.
