  • I mean, I sympathize w/ people who are the victims of others' evil, namely their parents... who brought them here when they couldn't say No...

But on the other hand, how can we possibly figure out which ones (children of illegals) were really brought here against their will and which ones... I mean, I don't know... seems like a lot of work figuring out what the details of their situations are.. work = $$

Part of me says: An illegal act has been committed. Parents always make their children suffer for what they do. It is the nature of the beast... That alone should not be what we base our decision on...

the bottom line seems to be t hat it is not OUR illegal act...

and the only way I would agree to somehow legitimatize the illegal children... children of illegals would be to TOTALLY

NOT allow the relatives any rights whatsoever.

so the kids could maybe stay (unless criminal...) but the others... everyone of the other relatives has to GO if illegal

So I don't know... I am open to other perspectives and thoughts

    and no arguments

I would think that most children would not want to live in the US if their parents were not allowed to?

    good

I just don't like encouraging illegal stuff... God knows there is enough of that.. Maybe those in DC who are so "concerned" about the DACA people.. are so concerned bc... well, they like like-minded people... like-minded as in lawless

however, mostly t hey just want their votes...

We make you legal, you vote for us

  • What is DACA?
What are the details of the program.

These children have received free housing, food and schools. Their parents never pay property taxes, car insurance, registration, daycare, free 100 percent medical for the whole family. The novus ordo condones this and tells these people how to get welfare.

May God bless you and keep you

  • And no one has the guts to bring up that Moslems are getting freebies while plotting to take over our country.
May God bless you and keep you

yes, and they refuse to help Americans.. I mean, you know.. other than telling them also to go to the government... The Church does not do acts of charity anymore, it seems
using the term Church loosely, that is

  • From the US Conference of Catholic Bishops;

"It is preposterous to claim that justice for immigrants isn't central to Catholic teaching. It comes directly from Jesus Himself in Matthew 25, 'For I was hungry and you gave me food…a stranger and you welcomed me.' Immigrants and refugees are precisely the strangers we must welcome. This isn't Catholic partisanship. The Bible is clear: welcoming immigrants is indispensable to our faith.
Caring for and about the 'Dreamers' is nothing more than trying to carry out that seemingly simple, but ultimately incredibly demanding, commandment. It is a commandment found throughout Sacred Scripture, reaching back to the Hebrew scriptures, including Leviticus, 'when an alien resides with you in your land, do not mistreat such a one' (Lv. 19:33). In fact, the Church has been pro-immigration since God called Abram to leave Ur: 'Go forth from your land, your relatives, and from your father's house to a land that I will show you' (Gn. 12:1). To suggest otherwise is absurd.
The witness of the Catholic bishops on issues from pro-life to pro-marriage to pro-health care to pro-immigration reforms is rooted in the Gospel of Jesus Christ rather than the convenient political trends of the day. We are called not to politics or partisanship, but to love our neighbor. Let's reject the forces of division that insist we make a false choice between our safety and our humanity. It is both possible and morally necessary to secure the border in a manner which provides security and a humane immigration policy.
Our pro-immigration stance is based on fidelity to God's word and honors the American dream. For anyone to suggest that it is out of sordid motives of statistics or financial gain is outrageous and insulting."

    Me

I think this statement is absurd. Nowhere is it mentioned that these people have BROKEN THE LAW.

I thought we Catholics were supposed to obey man's laws? In the Word it says to obey man's laws (unless they violate God's)

having borders to protect the citizens is not exactly violating God's laws. In fact it is the lawless in the "Church" writing nonsense like this who violate both God and man's laws..

  • I was broke and homeless. The diocese wouldn't even hire me for a temporary job. Telling me that I was over qualified. They never even told me to go to government.   Never helped my husband family when they were forced to sell the farm because my husbands father had prostate cancer and couldn't get loan.  No college for my husband because he was youngest... But things were difficult for many years.     God was good to us and brought together.
May God bless you and keep you

    I empathize
The Church doesn't help anyone anymore, it seems. I have been down and out and believe it or not, "church people" actually made it worse... (after refusing to help me even in the slightest way)
I'm telling you, the Church is demonic... OK, not all Churches, but a lot of them... and not so much the Church, just the people running them (of course)f
It's really twisted when "church people" help the lawless, the illegals

and refuse to help their own, law-abiding members.. really sick... it shows where their values are... They are anti-Christs. Jesus said you are either for me or against me

That is not true. If by free housing they live with their parents then ok. But no one is receiving free housing. Not only do their parents pay taxes, they pay extra taxes for benefits which they will never receive.

I don't think that is the truth
And in any case, they shouldn't receive anything. They do not belong here. They are robbers.
I don't like the new immigration bill. I like the part about the wall and stopping the diversity lottery but I do not like giving almost 2 million what is in truth amnesty.
I have not learned the details of that bill yet but I don't think the children of illegals should get a pathway to citizenship. Again, they should not even be here. Who are these people?? God in Heaven knows... they could be truly against our country 4 all we know.. but that's even beside the point to some extent bc the bottom line is that ... one word: ILLEGAL
I like what that congressman from Utah said about it ..Chaffetz

    and Ted Cruz

what about the people trying  to it legally?
