The research was done in China so they could have taken the tissue without the donors permission.
They could have even gotten dna from a cadaver!
But they probably got it from placenta tissue, very available.
They only need to get it once then they can replicate it artificially in the lab and keep a stash of it. I am just assuming that because it seems to make sense.
A Chinese baby formula manufacturer (the government ?) was cutting the powdered protein mix with melamine powder to cut costs ? and thousands of Chinese infants were severely malnourished.
I hope they intend to use the milk to feed those that truly need nutritious human milk substitute.
