  • Cant believe it took so long for me to make sauerkraut. I though it was hard and complicated. Shows you the amount of homemade foods that were common and made regularly our generation is clueless.

Here is my advancement in 5yrs (was clueless before)

    butter   raw
    cheese  soft and hard   raw
    yogurt  raw
    sauerkraut  raw
    bacon  raw
    ham raw
    sausage  smoked raw
    decent bread  baked
    bagels baked
    head cheese  cooked
    laundry soap too.

The sauerkraut is not at all canned so we are able to utilize the raw enzymes. First time to eat raw bacon and nice to have raw cheese and yogurt.

    Learning learning learning.

Seems to take a long time If anyone goes to a Ukrainin Catholic Church corner an old baba (granny) they have sooooooooooo much knowledge!
