  • This was mild actually - though true.
I had a friend many years ago who was a  waitress in a very popular restaurant in our hometown.  The stuff she told me that went on in the kitchen was sickening!  I have never eaten in a restaurant since that I don't remember her stories and that was 40 years ago!

  • I have seen very bad situations myself. In one case at a hotel that I once
work for, I saw a cook in the employee cafeteria accidentally drop
hamburger meat on the dirty floor behind the counter.  He look around
and than I watch the cook pick up the meat and put it on the grill.
Others witness this carelessness and stop the hamburger from
being serve, and told the cook what we witness.
We went to the human resources and complained about what I We saw.
The cook was terminated that day.
You wonder what really happens at fast foods restaurants with all
the illegals and migrants that are now employed.
Starbucks said they were going to lay off all American born
employees and replace them with recent migrants. Protests
    cause Starbucks to back off.
I make coffee better than Starbucks.
I am very lucky in the small town I now live in. No restaurants.
You have to be your own cook.

  • Not all the cooking is invisible at restaurants. In places like Chipotle or Subway etc. you're seeing everything they're doing and they can't do anything to the food. McDonalds is usually visible too, I have always been able to see what they're doing.
