Are they really effective or not?
Are they harmful?

Many if not all are harmful. The side effects can be deadly as they can lead to sucide. There is much more what can happen with drugs. I try to use natural in my home as much as possible. Valerian Root for anxiety. Ginger for Sinus. Oil of Oregano for infections (such as sinus, or to help defeat the flu we had). Lavender is a great one, it has been proven to help reduce stress, induce sleep. I use lavender for my son who is A REAL HANDFUL. Spraying Rose water on your face helps you calm down. But, Uriel is right. Pray. Looking at a picture of the Blessed Mother will calm us down, even shown to work on hospital patients.
Any of those drugs available by prescription, such as Prozac, Zoloft, Paxil, Effexor,.... are dangerous.
Another side effect, those drugs I just mentioned, also cause a persons libido to drop drastically. Result, those given the drug have many, many fewer children.
I believe that is is Ritalin that was made by some of Mengele's own scientists after world war two. Antyshemanic would know more of this if she stops by.

I dont know if Borage flowers grow in Iran or not, but you can eat some of those plain or drink them in an iced fruit tea. And if you have heavy metal poisoning you can eat cilantro/chinese parsley for  about 30 days.

Thank you all for your recommendations.
In a country such as mine, one is usualy under the custody of parents until he or she marries. Therefore I cannot really do whatever I want, or use a herb in which they don't believe.
But I have used medicines for OCD since I was 11. It was what my parents wanted.
I am curious to know if they had any bad effect on me.
