Are they really effective or not?

I was said to have ADHD once. I took some meds for it when i was little. Basically, it took my mental capacity, cut it in half, and then made me a walking drone for the next 5 or 6 years, until I stopped taking them.

Oh yes, I have seen docuмenteries of people who take something for a mental illness or w/e, and then end up taking 7 or 8 pills to counter the side-effects. Soon enough, that person must take all that medication in order to function. Lovely, ay?
