  • True.

Still it does not change what I wrote, words on a screen can't hurt us.

If the two people in the exchange were face to face, they likely would not get upset and misunderstand things like people do with just one word misunderstood.  (On the other hand, they might not even talk to each other, like if one could see on Skype the person he is debating with is a 28 year old living in his parents basement and typing in his underwear.) and I am not talking about you, I have been here like 10 years.

There are days when I would pay good money to be 28 again.

I'd also rather live in my parents' basement than a nursing home.

Perhaps 28 and living in the parents' basement is under-rated. :laugh1:

Also, there are people so fragile that they can be "hurt by words on a screen." Some people are so fragile that they commit ѕυιcιdє from online "bullying."

I do not recall seeing any fragile types start trouble, so my working premise is:  If they dish out, they can take it.

I had someone I knew that killed his wife "to protect her" and then committed ѕυιcιdє because he had been pressured by "the group". I was there but I did not see it happening in front of me. If I would have seen it, I would have instantly stepped in to stop the group. The group is a terrible thing. I actually like going against the group. But that's just me. That is the way my father taught me to be and his father (the patriarch) taught both of us. You said before that I jumped in to save the damsel in distress, but it's not about the weak damsel, it is about the crowd going against anyone, man or woman strong or weak. I'll defend someone I do not really like if the group starts to gang up on them. The group is a coward that gets courage from whomever the dominant personality is. The group is a POS (point of sale).

  • We've already argued. I don't really want to now argue about arguing.…BUT…

I think I offered a calm and level-headed assessment of the risks/benefits of MJ relative to EtOH in NORMAL people and acknowledged that individual assessment is necessary to protect individuals especially susceptible to the risks.

I would have preferred a duel of peer-reviewed studies rather than fire and brimstone anathemas. My imperfections in no way make or break the case on MJ any more than pederast presiders make or break the case on Catholicism.
