Vaccinated and still masking

    • Why?  I thought these people got vaccinated so they could return to normal and yet they're still "taking precautions".  And I'm talking about members of my own family.  Its mind boggling. They must not really trust the Almighty Shot after all.

    They won't place themselves in God's hands at all -- won't trust in God and His will -- even to keep them alive with a disease with a 99.9% survival rate -- so why would they all the sudden "trust" in a ναccιnє?

    They are becoming paranoid germaphobes. It's not just your family -- it's a full-fledged pandemic of pathological fear.

    • I was a little more relieved to see a handful of others aside from myself without masks at the grocery store today. Unfortunately, 95% of the people there still wore them even though they don't have to.

    I think the comparison of the mask to a pacifier is relevant now. People are just wearing them because they either don't know they don't have to, or, it makes them feel safe.

    • Fortunately I am seeing slightly more people without masks now. I have definitely noticed an improvement in this area.
    .
    Part of me wonders if people are maybe started to get tired of this whole "game" and are simply deciding to let this go. They've made it over a year through this "pandemic" and haven't seen any mass graves yet, and are subconsciously starting to think maybe the danger isn't as great as they've been told.

    I haven't even seen any homes for sale in my entire neighborhood. Real estate isn't changing hands. Wouldn't that be the case, if an above-average # of people were dying?

    I know, I know, "just wait 2 more weeks".

    • Well, things have drastically improved on the mask-wearing front where I live since our county dropped the mandate as of June 2nd. I still see people wearing masks at stores and most places have the unenforceable "unναccιnαted must wear masks" signs, but those people range at about 50% now rather than 95-100% two weeks ago. Unfortunately, my employer is still forcing us to wear masks at work because we're healthcare, so that somehow makes us exempt from CDC guide lines.

    Although, I still see morons wearing masks while jogging or riding bikes or driving alone in their cars in the more liberal part of the county.
