New York gets wiped off the map by tsunamis in many disaster movies. There can certainly be serious storm surges on the East coast, ie. Hurricane Sandy. In the 1938 hurricane, people were washed, in parts of houses across the Great South Bay in NY and Narragansett Bay in Cape Cod, the lucky ones, that is. New Haven CT had over 300 fatalities in the downtown area, from drowning. In a recent storm, aftermath of Hurricane Ida, at least 10 New Yorkers drowned as they slept in their basement apartments.
If the entire Ring of Fire were to go up, the East coast would be no more. In certain cities, that might not be a bad thing! NYC and Philadelphia could use a good cleaning, and a tsunami could do what Trump couldn’t, drain the swamp!
