Title: The Poll to End All Polls: Ban Johannes
Post by: Johannes on January 10, 2025, 11:55:12 AM
They went to the Coliseum to see the blood "Are you not entertained!" People watch Nascar to see the crash. Some people come here to watch the fights. Others delight to see users banned. Let's give the people what they want.

The user: Johannes, stands accused of the following:
Being arrogant
Calling others arrogant

Being an ego-manic

Over-complicating things
Being a liar
Accusing others of self-deception
Being a troll
Being a mole
Being a plant
Being a crypto-Jєω
Being confusing
Being MarkM
Spreading confusion
Making bad jokes
Making stupid jokes
Making too many jokes
Making too many polls
Making stupid polls
Making irrelevant comments/posts
Being willfully blind
Calling others willfully blind
Being too silly

Destroying the Church
Being too opiniated

Smelling like sh1t
Wasting his time
Wasting the forum's time

Placing this poll in Health and Nutrition
Calling some forum users spotted dogs (heretics) who eat their own feces
Peeing in the pool
Sticking his gum under the picnic table
Punching a puppy in the face
Throwing a toddler's ice cream on the sidewalk
Stealing small change from a blind street performer
(Ok the last 3 I made up - but people think I am a liar anyway so...:jester:

Now here is what I propose:

1) You may add ONE additional accusation to the list.
OR
2) you may design my tombstone signature for once/if I get banned.

You can only choose 1 of the above 2 options (don't be greedy).

Now the poll that I had with the most voter turnout had about 45 votes, so let's say I can get about 1/2 that in favor of being banned (about 23 votes).

Now I would guess Matthew could manipulate the voting to make the votes go up to that number, but assuming he lets this play out naturally - if I get the 23 votes - then that would trigger the ban.

The user's tombstone signature that gets the most upvotes will be selected as the winner to forever immortalize my infamy.

So, grab your pitchforks, get your friends, and let's get this lynching started...

P.S. As part of my last will and testament I bequeath to all of you, my newfound, but short-lived and beloved companions - this amazing collection of Polls that showcase my enduring commitment to excellence and learning - I trust they will prove useful for many future generations of CathInfo users.

P.S.S.S. seriously the last thing, if you would also like to make friendly bets on how long it will take to achieve the 23 votes and trigger the ban - that might be kind of fun too, so feel free to add that to your responses.

Thank you and God bless you all - Now begin!

You are such a weirdo.

But I didn't vote to have you banned. Sorry.

So, regardless of the results of this poll (and whether Matthew takes it under advisement) ... do you promise that this will end all [your] polls?

Well, I voted No, not to ban you, since if being annoying were grounds for banning, I would have been gone years ago ... so I'd be a hypocrite to vote Yes.

You forgot to add, "post's text is always too large." I don't vote at all in polls that serve no purpose, so I didn't vote in this one.

Sticking his gum under the picnic table
Punching a puppy in the face
Throwing a toddler's ice cream on the sidewalk
Stealing small change from a blind street performer
(Ok the last 3 I made up - but people think I am a liar anyway so...:jester:

So, that means you do stick gum under the picnic table, since you've only disavowed the last 3.  See, I knew you were a jackass.

:incense: Each of those annoying traits will make us holy, depending upon how we deal with them.

I don't think you are going to get banned, though your posts are unconventional and you come across slightly arrogrant. (Maybe you are different in person.)

P.S.S. As a parting gift/last request, please thumbs down this post as a personal favor to me.
This request has me stuck.  I don't give many down votes (You have to really upset me for me to down vote you.)  I like to help people with their requests.  To down vote or not to down vote?  That is the question. :jester:

Don't forget "Peeing in the pool". Maybe I should have used size 5 font for everything... I know you are only a little bit older than me, but poor eyesight can be genetic too...

Yeah, my eyes are horrible ... and years of computer programming have helped to wreck them.  I had 20-20 in the glory of my youth ... and more hair too.

Honestly, Johannes, I could never figure out if you were sedevacantist, or R&R, or conservative Novus Ordo, or whatever. I don't think you have done a good job at conveying what you believe about the crisis in the Church.

I really appreciated the play on words in the title, but I didn't see a place to vote for that option.  Maybe I missed it.  I'm old and I don't see very well.

It seems likely that Johannes is a retread, and has been banned before. So banning him wouldn't do any good.

His goal here seems to be to cause division. But if that's the case, it hasn't worked.

R&R and sedevacantists get along fairly well here. He hasn't been able to change that.

Is that the best you can do? You want to shock people, but the above is lame. And what Catholic would post something like that? Who are you, really?

Pope Francis doesn't know me at all. So he can't thank me for anything.

Believing that a Pope heads the Catholic Church is, well, Catholic. It's a Catholic thing to do.

I didn't elect Francis, and I can't depose him. He's the Pope, but he isn't God. And we shouldn't think that a Pope should be a replacement for God. Our Faith is centered around the Trinity, and the B.V.M. If a Pope does not faithfully pass on the Deposit of Faith, it is a sad thing, both for us and the Church. But we still know our Faith. Good Catholics have been fighting for Tradition for a long time. It's not something new.

In response, you'll likely show a photo of an animal pooping. Oh well.

Do you not have any friends? Just act normal, this is no way to make friends. I appreciate any attempt you make at being charitable, but you should take a break from the forum until you overcome some of your eccentricities.

Sure, tons of them.

But now since I answered your question, I will ask you one:

Are you really a guy? I mean it just seems like something a woman would say - there is kind of a chiding-nagging-mother hen tone to the way you write (I have noticed this in some of your other posts too that is why I ask) ... So, the question is legit are you a male? Or maybe you accidentally clicked the wrong gender when you signed up like Hewkonian#2... Or maybe you're just a really sensitive guy, who means well, but comes off kind of feminine - which is totally fine (it is very common these days due to our culture, the rise of feminism, etc.) I myself have been known to nag excessively and can be a big softy, crying like a baby (when warranted) So, being emotional is no dig. Anywho... I am seriously asking though.

At least St. Giles isn't asking about buying a cabbage patch doll, as you have on another thread. That's not at all girly, right?

Why would a grown man want to buy a cabbage patch doll?

Accusations to add to the list:
eccentric
crude
despairing
delusional
abnormal
anticatholic
lame
friendless
jack@ss
off-topic
wallowing
vague
indirect
discourteous

Keep them coming, hopefully suggestions for my tombstone will start rolling in soon, and don't forget to vote!

Yay!  I think the last three came from some of my posts.:cowboy:

Does this mean you are offended or this is just all in good fun?  I pick all in good fun, please correct me if I am wrong.

It looks like you did not get the votes you wanted, so I guess you will stay and continue to entertain us.:jester:

So I guess the results didn't come out like you wished for.

Since it looks like you are staying around.  How about you introduce yourself?

Thanks for the input, though I would strongly have to disagree. I think the evidence points to the fact that I most surely SHOULD be banned :laugh1:
Then why don't you just take the easy route and have Matthew ban you?:jester:It just sounds like you want to leave.

Well, that wouldn't be any fun, would it? I am not a fan of the "easy route", "easy yoke" - yes, "easy route" - no.
