I had high blood pressure during all of my pregnancies. It always went down after having the baby. After the last baby it never went down. My blood sugars were also out of whack and so were my horomones. I was an absolute mess. After 4 months on keto I was no longer pre- diabetic, I was off of blood pressure meds and my horomones had straightened out.

There are many ways to "do" keto. I stayed under 25 g of carbs per day. I ate a ton a non-starchy veggies, meat with every meal and moderate fat. I think people get wrapped up in the mindset that keto has to be a high fat diet, but it doesn't have to be that high in fat. A lot of veggies is important especially for your gut!

Carb Manager is a great app to help you track the amount of carbs you are taking in, and if you pay just a little bit for a subscription there are a lot of GREAT recipes that you can tap in to.

Most of the time I kept it very simple. For breakfast I usually had a vegetable medley with brusselsprouts, red pepper, asaparagus and 2 pieces of chopped bacon. Also an egg. So tasty and satisfying! Of course change the veggies when you want to with that. Mushrooms go great with it as well!  For lunch I usually had some chicken over a bed of greens. I used a vinaigrette or ranch and put a lot of keto friendly toppings on there like different veggies, cheese, everything bagel seasoning (in moderation), etc.  For breakfast and and lunch I didn't have to plan much- just keep a bunch of vegetables around and some bacon or sausage. I'd cook the chicken or pork at the beginning of the week to eat in my salads.

After being on keto for a few months, I no longer felt the need to eat breakfast so I eliminated that and fasted from after supper until noon the next day without problems.

Supper took more planning. Chicken parmesan made with almond flour and no sugar added sauce over a bed of zucchinni noodles. Tacos with low carb tortillas, roast, breakfast bakes, crustless quiche, hamburgers without the bun. There are just so many things you can eat and none of it has to be complicated.

As someone mentioned earlier- make sure to be taking electrolytes. Keto puts your body into a different metabolic state and you will shed water like crazy, and along with that water goes your electrolytes so you'll need to replenish daily or you will likely have some nasty effects like nausea, muscle weakness, extreme fatigue, bad breath, etc.

I have done a keto diet for about 3 years now and will probably stay with it for life.  I dropped annoying extra weight but more importantly no longer suffer from achy joints and stomach issues.  Dr Berg's videos are very helpful but I also like to scan the comments on the videos pertinent to my issues because you'll find other people have great tips and antidotes.  The more I've looked into keto the more I realize why it works.  Farming practices and government intervention unknown to most had changed the food throughout the decades.  Wheat is just one crop that was manipulated in the 1940's to become the addictive hazard that it is today.  I'd agree that the keto diet is the answer for a lot of illnesses.  While it is technically more expensive, you're eating less overall and best of all, not suffering from hunger.  In fact, Ember Days and Fridays and Lent were tough on me before.  Now, they are all really doable and fasting makes you feel so much better.  Not snacking all the time, or eating 3 or 4 times a day saves a lot of money and the amount of things you can get done during the hours or days you're not eating is a surprising bonus.

I like Dr Berg as well, but don't buy anything from his store as he is a scientologist and gives a percentage of his profits to his "church".
I prefer Dr Darrin Schmidt -very smart guy ( he is a carnivore)

I've been doing Keto/carnivore for almost 2 years now and it has definitely been of benefit to me with regards to losing body fat, gaining more lean mass and I find most of the stomach problems I used to have are pretty much gone completely. Where I am poultry is really cheap as opposed to red meat so using more chicken is good. Mincemeat is also a cheap option that is quite easy to make or just serve with a meal to boost the calorie content.

I keep my daily fat intake below 20 grams of fat each day. Sometimes 10 grams or less each day. I eat high a carb and sugar diet, including white table sugar. My body fat % is single digit and I, literally, have more energy and I'm stronger than people (18-25 years old) half my age. I have no brain fog like I would get if I ate a high fat diet.
