  • In the NO, there was a proposal of a ban on GMO wheat on the grounds that it is "not natural".
Sedes (and probably the SSPX) forbin the usage of low-gluten flour as it is heavily processed, thus not natural.
Perhaps they should ban GMOs, too. Anything artifical (change, addition, etc) in the wheat flour can make its' Sacramental validity doubtful. At the worst case, we have the same cookie problems the NO has due to GMOs.
Should Traditional organizations require the usage of spelt or any unmodified wheat strain?
Also, GMOs are blamed for celiac disease, wheat allergies and whatnot. Since we cannot provide universal access to the Eucharist all the time due to stricter rules (is the "NO-WINE-EVEN-FOR-THE-SICK" thing to be obeyed?), we have to rely on the medications that are given to people with a transplant, which are seldom given out to treat celiac disease.
This is a noobish question, but do celiacs tolerate non-GMO better?
Any discussion on transgenic wheat should go here.
Also, do not buy anything from M$. They pump bucks into the GMO business.
