  • Mathew,

Other than not getting the vaccine, there is really nothing we can do to prevent getting this flu if it is God's will. I don't know how you could stop it otherwise. I do not want to catch it or die but it seems that if they want to release a killer plague then their is nothing we can do to stop it.

  • Well, we can be careful at least.

I would say only go out for a good reason. Mass? Yes. Groceries? Yes. A leisure visit to the library? No. A leisure trip to the mall? No. A trip to the park? Yes, but it depends on what you mean by "park". Open air and scenery would be fine, but if there are lots of doorknobs involved then skip it.

Stay at home when you hear that it's getting bad this fall. Try to have all the "stuff" you need right in your house.

Those who have a house full of food will have the luxury of staying at home during the worst of it.

But most importantly, those wise enough to frequent CathInfo (and heed the advice found there on this topic) will know that any Swine Flu vaccine should be avoided -- like the plague! (I couldn't resist)

  • When this event occurs, are you going to go to work? I am thinking about how I will respond to it and work is a place where people get sick. This fall is going to be scary.

  • My career permits me to work from home.

I realize that not everyone can do this -- I'm not sure what I would do in a different situation.

There are no easy answers to stuff like this.
