It's sounds like you're coming around the corner, though, so that's good. :) For future reference, Nadir had good advice with the honey and garlic. It tastes terrible, though. When all natural remedies fail, I unapologetically resign myself to lots of rest and very little physical exertion. You'll get better much quicker that way.
I just got over something like what you described. For about 4 days I was perfectly miserable. Usually when I see the first symptoms (sore throat, runny nose), I down 1/2 cup of apple cider vinegar once in the morning and again in the evening. The taste alone is enough to make me want to pass out momentarily, haha. But often times the next day I wake up symptom free and back to normal, so it's worth it. Swigging some
while you are feeling sick can't hurt, either. Vinegar is amazing.
Speaking of garlic, a few days ago a terrible earache accompanied my sickness and I mixed some pureed garlic with some heated olive oil and put it in my ear. It helped a lot.
