Should I begin the GAPS diet?

I have to begin it, but I have concerns:
    1. Fridays, especially when on the introductory stage.
    2. Communion. Administering under the Species of Wine would be liturgical abuse under the Pio-Benedictine Canon Law.
    3. Lack of money
And this page claims the diet is bogus, and revealed McBride's alleged ties to paganism (she mentioned Ayurvedic):

    Can you help me?

  • You posted it to the wrong thread.
(Also, why would Billy Graham maintain good relations with the Church (or Newchurch)?)

  • I lost weight.  If God didn't make it try not to eat it.
Gluttony is sin.  Eat veggies and fruits and protein.  I like to juice.  Limit bread.  No sodas at all.
Sip on green or white green tea.  Also. Get moving everyday. Get walking.   Biking or go to gym.
Go hiking at state parks with your children and pray the rosary while you hike    Play with children at playground.

Drink water.  A lot of time hunger is really thirst.
Go to confession.   Father, I over ate two times as example

Use my fitness pal.   Calories to 1,300.  Watch salt and sugar too

Children should eat healthy diets. No Cheerios at church because you are teaching the child inorder to behave the reward is food. If you make food everyone should eat.
No chicken nuggets or kraft macaroni and cheese.

I like kind bars and larabars.  I use hemp powder whey powder nuts wheat grass powder in smoothies.

Note to myself bring your own food as sides to picnic to avoid eating junk

And have a small slice of pecan pie but excercise it off.
    My fitness  pal is excellent.

    I also love seaweed snacks.

May God bless you and keep you

  • Sounds like an "clean " eating diet.  So eat whole foods, real foods.

  • Why the compulsion to use this particular regime (the GAPS diet) which seems to be a one-man show and a money spinner?

There are other sources out there. Like this:

SG, I didn't 'downthumb' you, but it's not charitable to "out" someone re: a PM.  That's private communication.

That said, your point  "stop reading and watching crap on the internet and just say your rosary and go to latin Mass" is absolutely critical advice for all of us to one degree or another.  I've noticed there are a few on this forum who struggle with faith issues precisely because they are caught up in satanic distraction via internet "crap" as you aptly describe it.

  • Had to dig this up, but I have to consider using the GAPS protocol.
The Weston Price Foundation which some of you praise recommends GAPS and calls GFCF an inadequate diet as it does not treat the leaky gut issues, just removes "offenders". Furthermore, they claim that if the GAPS protocol is not initiated, GAPS patients will have adverse reactions to weed. (Make no mistake, I oppose weed.)
