What do you all know about this vaccine?
-
I never researched it, but I read somewhere that it was one of the vaccines that used aborted babies.

Oh really. I do plan on doing some research, but I thought I'd check in here first. My doctor recommended it today, but I declined.

Do the research because I admit I may be wrong. People can say anything on the internet and it may be false. I read that the MMR and shingles vax used fetal cell lines, but a lot of other vaxxes did not, so it was not like all vaxxes are tainted, whether or not they may cause autism.
-
Yes, it uses aborted fetal cell lines.

^remember to re-type that one key word
Pam Ackеr said in thе chickеn pox vaccinе, thеrе arе morе human baby cеlls than chickеn pox cеlls. I don't know if that is also truе of thе shinglеs vaccinе.

I did do a quick search earlier and I saw an article from COG or referencing them that said the latest Shingles vaxx is fetal cell free. Shingilix I think?
If that's true I still want to check whether it's necessary and what side effects etc might be. I'm still not crazy about putting anything in my body that might be harmful in any way.

I thought this doctor talked with sense and she is a Christian. She talks about our immune system.

Oh good. Then I guess it would not be a moral hazard and you only have to decide if it is worth the risk of side effects. I apologize for giving bad information.

All vacs these days have trojan horses in them.

For future reference. If anyone gets shingles, my dad had a severe case on his side and stomach and he said the pain was excruciating and the only thing that allowed him to sleep was a topical cream called ZOSTRIX-H.(it has to have the H behind it). A doctor in the emergency dept. told him about it. Although it is for arthritis, it works wonders for shingles. The doctor also told him "I didn't tell you about this"
This was years ago so I don't know if it's still available.

it’s named Zostrix then it seems it must be for the effects of Herpes Zoster.
Something else to consider in decision making is whether or not you have had chicken pox (varicella). Herpes Zoster may occur if you have the varicella virus dormant in your body. I think that under stress it becomes reactivated

I never connected stress with my dad's shingles but now looking back, he got it after my Mom died.
Just searched Zostrix HP and it does say it's for shingles in addition to being an analgesic for muscle pain, arthritis, bruises etc. 20 years ago it didn't have the recommendation for shingles. I guess that Dr in the ER knew what he was talking about.

This is not surprising. My husband got it immediately after our dog was attacked by another dog, and died from the attack. My husband was walking our dog in the early morning and he had literally to drag our dog home as he was too large to carry and nobody to help. It was so distressing for him. that he came down with shingles.

Best to avoid doctors unless you need an emergency intervention. Nothing of benefit comes from visiting a doctor. It's like talking to a police officer. Absolutely nothing beneficial is rendered to the citizen but potential abuses exist. Best case scenario is you are exactly the same as before encountering him except you wasted precious time that you can't get back.

Zostavax was the first Shingles vaxx. It does use fetal cells. From what I have read so far (which isn't a lot yet) I think this ναccιnє is no longer available in the US.
However, I don't know about the ointment mentioned above by Miseremini: Zostrix-H. Depending upon what I learn, this might be the better option if I ever come down with Shingles.

Although I can testify it works for ridding the body of the flu virus pretty much over night, I have no idea if this would work for ridding the body of this particular dormant virus. Before bed make a large cup of a 50/50 mix of peppermint tea and elderberry flower tea, drink it down and go right to bed. You may want to sleep on towels or something that helps absorb all the perspiration because you should sweat a lot. The idea is to sweat out the flu virus and other toxins through your skin. It worked for me both times I tried it - I was over the flu by the end of the day.

I am talking about ridding the body of the flu virus. My thinking is that because it worked on the flu virus, it is worth trying for the shingles virus.
-
I don't know anyone who has shingles. It's another scare tactic to get people to take trojan horse vacs. The incidence of shingles is far lower than what "experts" claim.
-
Evidently, shingles is a sort of a resurgence of chicken pox. If you never had chicken pox you're not supposed to be able to get shingles. My doctor has recommended a shingles ναccιnє for years. Officially, about 25% of people who had chicken pox will get shingles during their lives. I've known several people who have had shingles. All of them told me that they got a terribly painful rash, mostly on their abdomens, and it lasted a little over a week. The nurse at the doctor's office says it's really not a life threatening problem--just very painful.
This past year has completely undermined the little confidence I had with the medical profession about anything that is "preventative". It seems that they can fix certain things, but they are constantly trying to inject everyone to prevent everything and I really do think that there are other agendas involved. And, frankly, I think anyone who can read what the computer screen tells the doctor to do could be a doctor today because I don't think most of them really know anything. They just repeat what the computer tells them.
I've not had this ναccιnє nor will I get it. If I get shingles, I would hope to be able to apply the suffering for the poor souls in purgatory.
-
Just get enough Vit D, Vit C and Zinc in your diet, and you won't get shingles or any other boogeyman virus that "vacs" supposedly prevent or treat.
-
Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't realize that there was a non-fetal cell shingles vaccine out there. But the herpes zoster virus ( if you believe viruses exist) lives in most of us, so how would a vaccine like that work being that you already have it and have antibodies? I know shingles can be very painful and you do have to be careful if the eruptions are on the face- especially around the eyes as it could cause blindness. This is an inflammatory issue and should be treated as such.
You should be taking L-Lysine ( amino- acid; I think it's a 1000 mg) daily. Also take collagen supplementation as to lessen the painful skin eruptions. Anti-viral pills like Zovirax are often prescribed.

No problem Matto and josefamenendez. I'm just learning about this topic too.

When I google this, I find a Zostrix-HP. It states that one should not use the product on active shingles. Rather it is meant to be used for the pain that can sometimes follow shingles.

Thanks TKGS. Chances are I won't get it either. I remember thinking when I first heard of it that I wouldn't get it. Of course I was much younger at the time.

Sad to say, I am an unwilling expert on shingles.
If you ever have a painful itch on one side of your body, followed by raised red bumps, get to the doctor ASAP to start on Acyclovir or Valacylovir. If caught early, you may be spared the excruciating pain which can continue for years.
Also, the stress is often the stress of another illness or multiple illnesses, which stress the body.
I have heard of people getting shingles after getting the shot.

It's not all or nothing.
It's do a lot of research and pick and choose.
You sound young. When I was young and grew my own organic veggies, yada yada, the supps worked great.
Things change when you get older (for me it was going hiking and getting Lyme disease). God does sometimes use doctors and medicine to help us. As my acupunturist says "Thank you Lord."

My dad used it directly on the shingles and his was Zostrix-H there was no P in the name 20 years ago.
There was also a plain Zostrix which didn't work. This was 20 years ago.
You also had to wear gloves when applying it.

The first Shingles vaccine came out in 2006, so that cream may have gone out of production at that time.

I have had that before on my stomach. I remember soaking in tub with Epsom salts. It eventually went away.

I had chicken pox when we were little. It was painful and itchy. Nowadays, they give children chicken pox vaccine. Everyone is being over medicated...

You sound uninformed and ignorant.
I have a Master of Science in Health.
I was been the subject of two physiological studies in graduate school, due to my fitness prowess to perform the tasks and the willingness to man up to it.
I know a lot more about physiology, health, virology, infectious disease, disease pathology, etc. than you.
In fact, I've probably forgotten more than you will ever know in your lifetime.
-
I have not gotten a shingles vaccine because I could not access a non-abortive fetal tissue one without a lot of expense and bureaucracy. I’ve known many people who had it. It’s very painful, but you will recover unless you are already in extremely poor health. My aunt got it when she was already dying of cancer despite having had the vaccine, so it’s not 100% effective. What was worse was she got it on her face and lost vision in her left eye.

Not true. I have an excellent diet, the supps you mention and many more, and I have still had shingles.
