Receptor activator of nuclear factor kappa-B ligand (RANKL) is expressed on activated T and B lymphocytes and in lymph nodes; therefore, a RANKL inhibitor such as this drug may increase the risk of infection. Hospitalizations due to serious infections in the abdomen (0.9% vs 0.7%), urinary tract (0.7% vs. 0.5%), ear (0.1% vs. 0%) and skin, including erysipelas and cellulitis (0.4% vs. less than 0.1%) were reported. • Want to beat osteoporosis? Move your body more and get sunlight. Repetitive contact with hard surfaces such as the act of walking, and weight-bearing exercises, retain bone density & strength. Sunlight feeds your body Vitamin D which is good for bones and aids in the absorption of calcium.

While Big Pharma deserves our mis-trust, your sweeping generalization about the knowledge and trustworthiness of naturopaths is indefensible.

  •  Look into the following healing herbs: ashwagandha, boswellia, and curcuмin

Boswellia is worth its price in gold as it is very healing for the body.
The Three Wise Men from the Orient came bearing gifts of gold, frankincense (Boswellia), and myrrh to the Christ Child.

Capsicuм from the chili peppers is also known for its healing properties, especially those suffering from osteoarthritis.

Curcuмin is known as the mother of all herbs for its healing properties.

Ashwagandha helps boost the body's energy.

Herbs contain many antioxidants, bioflavonoids, vitamins, and minerals that work naturally as a whole to heal.
Pharmaceutical companies discover one active ingredient in plants, synthesize it to purify it, and then
ignore all the other beneficial ingredients found in herbs. Worse, Big Pharma takes that one ingredient
and determines the level of that ingredient that is know to kill (lethal dose). All synthethized drugs need to have
a lethal dose and a 50 percent lethal dose determined in order to be registered with the FDA.

Natural products containing whole herbs cannot be registered with the FDA as herbs are natural.

I prefer to eat herbs as Christ created them rather than to rely on Big Pharma with their man-made drugs
that do so much harm to the body.

    Lord have mercy.

  • Thank you for your advice, Maria and David. That gives me something to go on.

I like the idea of more sunlight and exercise. I am at present unable to walk much, or work in the garden (my favourite) but hope soon to attend an exercise class and going in the pool. I have lost the ability to swim.

I already use some of those recommended things, growing my own chiili, processing and encapsulating it. Use twice a day.
Also use Turmeric, but will increase the dose from 1 cap to 3/day. Also use in cooking often.

    Will try Boswellia here:
    https://herbosophy.com.au/boswellia-x75-75-boswellic-acids/

Any other suggestion welcomed, or experience of taking Prolia.
And of course prayers would be greatly appreciated.

Prayers are coming. Try singing short hymns to our Lord and His Mother Mary. The act of singing attentively does help the body to heal.

I took a cooking course, and they recommended that you add capsicuм after you cook, sprinkling it in to soups or foods just before serving it. Heat destroys most of the beneficial nutrients in capsicuм. I use the pumpkin spices (cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, cloves, and ginger) whenever I make oatmeal, rice, buckwheat, or applesauce. I add a small amount of raisins to sweeten the treat. These spices are wonderfully healing especially in the cooler weather.

I am also experiencing difficulty walking, so I hope I am not coming down with Parkinson's. Swimming is not possible due to the pool chemicals. However, I can swim in the ocean providing it is not too cold. Hawaiian seas are awesome.

Lately, I have been taking daily, one scoop of d-Ribose (2 times per day) and one scoop of l-Citrulline in order to relieve the intense pain in my thighs, legs, and fingers. These supplements by Doctor's Best are in powdered form and dissolve quickly in water that is at room temperature. My friend's M.D. recommended these supplements when he was having a similar problem. These supplements are now enabling me to get a good night's sleep and to walk without using crutches or a walker. My husband also has experienced relief when using the d-Ribose and l-Citrulline.

My problem started this summer when the street maintenance crews started ripping out streets in Los Angeles, in many of the Southland communities in California, and in Phoenix and in Tucson, Arizona because the older type of asphalt was dangerous. Women were getting their high heels caught in the tar whenever the weather was consistently over 100 degrees F, and men, women, and children were having difficulty with their shoes sticking in the hot tar, and cars were left inoperable with their tires stuck in the tar, leaving the owners stuck with tow charges and the purchase of new tires. This was costing thousands of dollars in legal fees, and the cities were liable, so they have been forced to resurface the roads everywhere.

Upshot: the asphalt industry has had to re-engineer the chemicals they use to make asphalt. Bonus: The asphalt is harder, quicker to cure, and more durable in the heat. However, the chemicals they are using vaporize more easily and have terrible side effects, such as painful muscle contractions in the legs, thighs, arms, and fingers.  Many people do not know why they are sick because the asphalt chemicals are largely odorless, so they visit a doctor and are offered pain pills (opiods) like candy and muscle relaxants, both of which have serious side effects.

p.s. I wish we had more time to edit. Just discovered a spelling mistake because I had to go to the kitchen and make some food for my husband, and time had run out when I had returned. Wish I had known that I had misspelled known as "know." I try to edit as I go, but my vision is not so good now.
    Lord have mercy.

  • Time to edit is once again gone.

Just a p.s. to say that I add the pumpkin spices during the last five minutes of cooking along with salt and the raisins.
If people want it sweeter, I provide them with a dash of crushed stevia leaves. Yum.

The pumpkin spices are great for inflammation as shown in our painful limbs.
    Lord have mercy.

  • Nadir, add some grounded black pepper with your turmeric. Black pepper helps the body absorb turmeric that you're ingesting.

  • Dear Nadir- please take Vit K2 with your Vitamin D. Do NOT take extra calcium.Vit K2 helps D direct the free calcium into your bones instead of unwanted places like your joints and arteries. Magnesium is the mineral we are mostly all deficient in, so it is always a benefit as well. I take 8000iu of D a day along with 100-200mg of K2.
I don't know the action of this particular drug, but most of the anti- osteoporosis pharmaceuticals stop the action of the osteoclasts, which normally clear away aging and weakened bone cells- so what you are left with is a lot of old, weak bone, without rejuvination.

  • Thank you Josefa. I looks like you might be onto something. I had only heard of vit K, but not of K2.
I already take D and Mg. I'll check the doses.
    I found a good page on K2 here: https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/vitamin-k2

Regarding the prolia, what you say makes sense and was my feeling when I was given the script, then foolishly had the shot. And checked it out later. We have our weak moments!  :really-mad2:

  • I am wondering if 5G is the culprit as honey bees and other beneficial insects are being adversely affected. Fish, dophins, and whales are also being killed in massive numbers. We do need fish oil in our diets to prevent inflammation.

While we do not have smart phones, this 5G is everywhere because of all the new satellites.
    Lord have mercy.

  • Thank you for your prayers and suggestions, Maria.

No, it's nothing to do with 5G. Osteoporosis is a longstanding issue.

d-Ribose (2 times per day) and l-Citrulline are interesting as they are both said to be helpful in heart health. You could spend so much money on supplememts that you can't afford to eat!

I use capsicuм raw and cooked, as well as taking cayenne, (and turmeric), as raw encapsulated powder.

You are taking two of the most potent healing spices known to mankind.
Our Creator has given us a wonderful world.
Unfortunately, I am now allergic to both. I wish there were a way to beat allergies.
