Prayer request
« on: September 11, 2021, 02:52:00 PM »
Hi,

My husband has been hospitalised with some kind of pneumonia, he's tested positive for covid. So he's now on a covid ward and on oxygen.

But he told me they are making him lie on his belly all day to help his breathing .

I'm really concerned with this, surely he will be better propped up in bed?

Surely the belly would be uncomfortable and not help his breathing.

I'm confused now whether to trust the doctors or not?

Prayers please

Definitely sounds weird...   I could understand if he was choking and being on his stomach to get fluid out of his lungs.  But, that only in severe cases.

You can't usually trust hospitals these days...  My mother was an RN and never took us to the hospital unless we absolutely needed to go.

Will be praying!  Please keep us posted.  🤗

Some research shows better results for the Covid affected lungs when placed on the stomach. An exception would be if the patient is morbidly obese, has asthma, COPD, or sleep apnea.  If he’s in normally good health, then I’d give it a try.
