Why thumb down?  The future is insects.  The article tells you that certain  flavor enhancers are made in lab which isn’t natural.

For the record, I did not issue the down-thumb.  But I think you shouldn't be concerned about those.

Natural Flavors

This term is used for a plethora of ingredients added to food to enhance flavor and aroma. While they are derived from plant or animal products, THEY ARE MADE IN A LABORATORY ***and likely less natural than you think. A better option would be whole foods where the flavor and smell come from nothing but real food, herbs and spices.

*** flavor enhancement from aborted babies???

I didn’t downthumb you, Viva. You’ll never know who or why. Don’t let it worry you.

My reaction when I saw your title “natural flavours?”, was to think of natural flavours, such as vanilla, cayenne pepper, nutmeg etc. It is so obvious - these flavours are natural.

Nothing wrong with being MADE IN A LABORATORY. You might just as aptly say MADE IN A FACTORY.

A natural flavour is not a flavour enhancer. When I think of flavour enhancer, I think of sodium chloride, common old salt.

Just a few thoughts to put things in perspective. Just stick to natural.

Don't trust "natural flavors" on the packages. Read the ingredients. There are foods/drinks with the words "natural flavors" on the packages, but they contain the UNATURAL asparatame and other cancer-causing artificial sweeteners.

Agreed.  The air you breathe is far worse for you.
