So my mom is freshly over covid, and complaining that she has an insatiable/unquenchable thirst and the roof of her mouth is white.
I was surprised to learn this is not an uncommon post-covid (and sometimes pre-covid) symptom.
Anyone know of a cure, or how long it lasts?
She can’t go an hour without drinking water now.
She needs a check-up with a Dr.
There are a number of possible things this could be, but without seeing her or her history, it is like shooting darts in the dark.
First thing that comes instantly to mind with her "white mouth" is thrush. Next thing that comes to mind is diabetes because of her thirst.
Get her to a Doctor for a check-up, asap please. You wouldn't want your Mom to end up with more problems because of either situation, and we don't know how old your Mom is either. If she is elderly, they end up with different issues because of Covid.
Go see a Dr.
