    The prices went up recently.  Currently the rate is $6 per half gallon.  So, we spend $36 per week for our 3 gallons.

    Sally Falon has a cookbook called "Nourishing Traditions" which we have used for many years.  It has recipes for fermenting foods, making cheese and other natural foods.  Sometimes there are sales to buy the book.  Here is a link for one at the price of $15:

    Well, said!  My husband finds that raw milk helps with his acid reflux.  Store milk which is ultrapasturized (even when organic and whole) makes him sick when he drinks it.  

    I have a friend whose 1 year old baby won't drink store milk but yesterday my friend let her try some of our raw cow's milk and the baby loved it!

    If you get a cow the average one produces 6-7 gallons a day by the way

    Here it is "illegal" but there are ways to obtain it. My wife grew up on a dairy farm so doesn't want to drink anything pasteurized. We have a local farmer who sells grass fed/finished dairy and beef, amazing. My wife is Dutch, and I have half-Dutch kids, and if you know anything about the Dutch ... they drink a LOT of milk! We do 8 gallons a week! We buy for $10/gallon, so a healthy portion of our food budget is high-quality, raw milk.

    They can’t keep you from drinking it, just selling it commercially. Not everyone can keep a cow, but try for social connections with those who can. Goats’ milk raw is equally healthy. Goats require less space and are legal in places where cows are not.
