  • It's time to dump the Paleo thread.
I have a question: I'd like to buy cheap, non-GMO or intensively farmed food. We have relatives with a garden, but we get only corn, potatoes and vegetables (and some fruit). I'd like to grow my own wheat, but I live in a flat (which is great since I don't have to use pesticides). Plus, we don't have any space for chicken. I want to avoid the slavemart as much as possible, but until I get a reasonable salary, I don't know how to do it.
(Plus, a fact: since the right-wing government, there's a big interest in agriculture. I've even saw the greater field usage. Crisis will make this country flourish, so in a few years, we can expel the slavemarts)

  • Look for a farm that will sell you a fruit share. You can ask, but many farms are organic/non GMO but do not have the certification to prove it  because it is expensive.

Also, pick-your-own prices are usually lower, and you can call farms to ask if they have any grade B items, if they do, you can get them for a cheap price, but you have to be able to preserve them right away.

If you are in the states, localharvest.org and there is another PYO website, the name escapes me, but those are a few starting places.
