which deals with one sense of the four, Fr. Kramer's exegesis is acceptable.
If you want to read Fr Kramer's book, go right ahead. Maybe i'll read it at some point too. But if I question something in his analysis, then don't argue that he's an expert, since he's openly admitting to using only 1 aspect of exegesis. Right off the bat, he admits his analysis is limited.
Secondly, for him to say that 1,000 years of Doctors/saints' interpretations were "a purely “spiritual” direction" is a gross, gross error. So every single Doctor/theologian/saint, in those 1,000 years
ONLY spoke of the Apocalypse in spiritual terms? St Augustine and St Thomas talked about all angles, so he's wrong right there. That's an easy one.
