  • Teach your mind some simple meditation techniques and wander through the inner mind, only to get into the heights of self-realization. It is a traditional way, of intensifying the inner power and spiritual energy, with a rich history of thousands of years.
Meditation is the medicine for almost all of your mind’s woes. It gives your mind both relaxation, from your internal worries, and realisation, about your present mental status.
Practicing meditational techniques keeps you healthy by alleviating stress, lowering blood pressure, controlling perspiration, maintaining temper, eradicating unwanted anxiety etc. It is also good for the  circulatory system of the body. Meditation exercises train your mind to focus and concentrate on a particular point or subject. In other words, it is the way to liberate your mind from unnecessary anxiety, awful circuмstances arousing emotional disturbances, aggressive behavior, depressed mental state etc.  In fact, liberated and enlightened minds always concentrate, think and work more effectively.
During attentive meditation, you would feel the path of your thoughts and emotions. You gain a power in controlling your anger and a better internal balance within the mind.
It is the key to stress management. At times of high internal stress sit in a comfortable position, close your eyes, relax your body, feel the inhalation and exhalation process of breathing and meditate for a few minutes. Practice similar techniques and feel the calmness and peace that your mind receives.
The best thing about learning meditational techniques is it can be practiced any time, at any point, and whenever you become restless.

  • This is hindu paganism. A worship of nature. You enter an alternate state of conciousness the same sort as one has just before sleep, but you do it while awake, and you think that the natural rythms and sensations have a spiritual significance in uniting you with your hindu universe, but its not, its just nature worship, and worship of human sensations. Not something a religious person who aspires to transcend the natural and become supernatural should undertake.

  • RaihanDavid1, so this is your first post here on CathInfo. You won't find any customers here for your type of meditation. I hope you will find what you are looking for.

    What is your background?
Have you ever tried praying (meditating on) the Mysteries of the Holy Rosary?

Help of Christians, guard our land from assault or inward stain,
Let it be what God has planned, His new Eden where You reign.

  • Actually if you want to grow in holiness you have to grow in virtue.

You are a wretched filthy pagan who is doomed to burn in the fires of hellfire for all eternity unless you convert and join the church established by Jesus. Jesus is the savior. He came to save men from the deceitful pleasures of the devil that they may have eternal life. He is the way the truth and the life, no one comes to the Almighty Father but by him.

People have seen hell before, people have been possessed by demons before. People have seen heaven and purgatory before. Bread has turned into flesh before. People have gotten stigmata before. The church is real, the church is true. Join the church or you will stay in the ranks of those to be damned.

  • The main problem with this is the idea of "Inner Power" itself. It's practically to deify yourself to think like this. As soon as you start looking for the "holiness within you" you have already missed the mark drastically by presuming to raise yourself above God, as though all holiness did not come directly from Him and that no holiness or power can reside within you that does not come from Him.

  •  :dancing-banana:Contemplating my navel is incredibly boring.
St. Francis Xavier threw a Crucifix into the sea, at once calming the waves.  Upon reaching the shore, the Crucifix was returned to him by a crab with a curious cross pattern on its shell.

  • Self-realization - straight from Maslow the humanist.
No Catholic can have ANY part of this.

  • St. Romuald's Brief Rule For Camaldolese Monks

Sit in your cell as in paradise.
Put the whole world behind you and forget it.
Watch your thoughts like a good fisherman watching for fish,
The path you must follow is in the Psalms — never leave it.

If you have just come to the monastery,
and in spite of your good will you cannot accomplish what you want,
take every opportunity you can to sing the Psalms in your heart
and to understand them with your mind.

    And if your mind wanders as you read, do not give up;
hurry back and apply your mind to the words once more.

Realize above all that you are in God's presence,
and stand there with the attitude of one who stands
    before the emperor.

Empty yourself completely and sit waiting,
content with the grace of God,
like the chick who tastes nothing and eats nothing
but what his mother brings him.
