I swear this is the hundredth nutrient I've seen advertised as massively lowering your risk of getting COVID.
It's probably just a case of "malnourished people are unhealthy" and "unhealthy people are more likely to get sick".

Started D3, Elemental Zinc, Elderberry, and B-Complex on Saturday. I don’t know which one, if not all, were missing from my diet, but I immediately felt 100 times better than normal after starting the regimen. I highly recommend the same. We will need our strength going into whatever it is that is on the horizon this Fall and Winter.

I’m not so sure on this one. My own doctor has me on vit. D because I have several risk factors for getting COVID.

Years ago my doctor put me on Vit D. Not being a medication on prescription there was nothing in it for her. I had to take 5 a day for a month, then 4/day/month and so on till I was on 1 a day, still today. I never even so much as catch a cold.
The superior way to get Vit d is through exposure of the bare skin to sunlight, but older skin does not work so well as younger skin. When your on a good thing stick to it. It’s cheap and easy to take.

Vitamin D3 is the most inexpensive supplement that has the most benefit in my opinion. Low levels are associated with a much higher risk of certain cancers, most especially colon. Had my level checked a few years ago and it was below 10. My doctor put me on 6,000 units a day and within 6months it was in a normal range. I recommend everybody get your level checked. Many doctors from the very beginning of this covid stuff said vitamin D3 played a major role in the recovery and well being of patients with many illnesses, not just covid.

D3 functions as a hormone and an immune modulator. It will strongly support a normal immune response but also suppresses an over-reaction of the immune system (cytokine storm) as well.

Same here, vit. D complex + vit. D3. April of 2019 I landed in hosp. with a bad flu and pneumonia. In retrospect, it had all the symptoms of COVID including loss of taste and smell, shortness of breath, high fever. I had to go on O2 for several days. I drove myself there but needed help to get from the car to the door. I nearly passed out and they had to send an orderly with a wheelchair. I was there for 10 days. At the time I lived in a building where nearly everyone was Chinese from China, recent immigrants who made frequent trips back and forth. I did take a COVID antibody test in May of this year, but it came up negative. So if I did have the virus, the immunity has faded by now. In hosp. they gave me a vit. D and B infusion since my levels were tanked out, also, potassium and magnesium. The infusion that I noticed almost immediate improvement was the vit. B. I’m continuing to take all three as oral supplements.

No on the D2. The good one is D3. My doc has me on 5000 to 10,000 ius a day and I am barely in the normal range. (Due to another med, I have to stay out of the sun.)

Are these D supplements oil-based? Or have you heard that Vitamin D needs oil of some sort for best results?

Vitamin D3 is the important one. Don't let people tell you it has to be a certain, organic kind. My doctor told me to just pick up a bottle at walmart. I bought the cheapest one I could fine, started taking it and my levels within 6 months were normal. I took 6000 units a day for six months. Now I take 4000 units a day and that keeps me in a good health level range. Not everybody is deficient, so before you start taking it, please get checked. To much, which results in to high of a level, can be just as harmful to your body in a different way then being to low.

If people want to conform to the nonstop propaganda of the Establishment narrative, they need only turn on a radio or television to be told what to do and how to think. The last thing the readers and commenters at CathInfo need is another conformist repeating conventional wisdom.

Just stating a fact that happen in my situation. I had the levels checked and do yearly to back up my fact. I don't conform to propaganda. I listen to my doctor that I've been going to for over 20 years, do my research and do what I think is best for myself and family. Sorry if I struck a nerve with you. Just simply do what you feel is best and ignore what I say if you think it's "propaganda".
As far as my username, I chose it because I'm angry at what is happening to my church and country and much of this is because of political propaganda and the liberal media narrative. I assure you I'm not here to promote it in anyway.

Sunshine is the best source of Vit D, and it's free.

Yes, that's true sunshine is the best source of vitamin D3. However, I'm an outside person and was quite surprised when my level was so low despite being outside in the sun so much. I guess everybody is different in how and how much their body absorbs this vitamin.

Vitamin D is so important! Even someone who is low, but still within normal range should probably be taking more.
