  • I believe it. I recently watched a docuмentary called Fat Head in which a man ate nothing but McDonalds for a month and lost 12 pounds. He lost the weight by walking, eating 2,000 calories a day, and keeping his carbohydrate consumption under 100g a day.

It's a really good docuмentary that will make your head spin a few times. I recommend it.

I don't find this too outlandish either. If he kept his carbs to under 100g a day, i don't see why it wouldn't be possible. Though it would probably mean that he didn't eat fries and buns, no? That's the stuff that will make you gain weight- empty carbs.

Not that I'm advocating eating McDonalds. Yucky. Just because one isn't gaining weight by eating there, doesn't mean it's not terrible for you in other ways.
Religion clean and undefiled before God and the Father, is this: to visit the fatherless and widows in their tribulation: and to keep one's self unspotted from this world.

  • As a calorie counter, if you have to eat fast food, one thing I really recommend is keeping a cooler in your car with bottled water and fruit. The sides, drinks, and double portions really do a job on the calories.

One time when I had to eat at McDonalds, I would order a side salad and then put lunchmeat (bought elsewhere) of turkey or ham on it.  This man is a CEO so food money is not an issue, but one problem is the healthier foods in a portion large enough to fill you are higher. You get unlimited Coke refills, not OJ or milk. There are no grilled chicken breasts on the $1 menu.

  • The problem - contrary to what the nutritionistas claim - isn't McDonald's, its menu, or its "targeting" children. The problem is people sitting on their rear ends all day, getting up only long enough to take a trip to McDonald's. Television, video games, computers - it's hard to stay healthy when you're sedentary. Of course, it's much easier to blame someone else than take responsibility. That's the American Way now, isn't it?
"This principle is most certain: The non-Christian cannot in any way be Pope. The reason for this is that he cannot be head of what he is not a member. Now, he who is not a Christian is not a member of the Church, and a manifest heretic is not a Christian, as is clearly taught by St. Cyprian, St. Athanasius, St. Augustine, St. Jerome, and others. Therefore, the manifest heretic cannot be Pope." -- St. Robert Bellarmine

I apologize - he didn't just eat at McDonalds. He also ate at other fast food places like KFC and Wendy's. According to his food log, he ate half of his sandwiches sans the bun and ate french fries rarely. He also only drank water and diet soda.

Here's his food log if you're interested: http://fathead-movie.com/content/MyFoodLog.htm

  • Yes it's bad for you. But once or twice a year I like a Big Mac. It's shameful..... but alas, I do really enjoy it.  :ready-to-eat:

I've noticed that, too. I don't know if it's the carbonation level or what it might be, but there's a noticeable difference versus, say, Burger King.

  • I am convinced they have an additive in everything they serve. It probably is some mind control drug. Perhaps to turn us into unwilling slaves of the Zionists! Lol.

Perhaps they need to make it "The Real Thing" again, if you know what I mean.

  • Calorie restriction is the critical component of weight loss for most people.

You could lose weight eating anything if you ate little enough.

I don't think I'm saying anything people don't already know.

  • I read a book over the weekend, and apparently McDonald's used to fry their food in tropical's oil like coconut oil that is really healthy and prevents heart disease and diabetes and lot others.

    But now McDonald's is unhealthy.
