Back in August, my mother was able to obtain a prescription for ivermectin from the doctors at pushhealth.com
The prescription was filled via her Medicare insurance without issue.
Today, I went to pick up another prescription of ivermectin for her, and was informed that Medicare would only cover 12 pills, while the prescription was for 40, so I would have to pay $159 out of pocket if I wanted the ivermectin.
From various sources and previous prescriptions, I know the average cost/pill runs about $.80/ea.
So I asked the pharmacist, “OK, how much for just the 12 pills that are covered?” She said the prescription could not be filled that way.
So either I have to be gouged, or ask the doctor at pushhealth.com for a previous authorization (where he calls Medicare and requests the full 40 pill prescription), which I doubt is going to happen since the online consultation was only $69.
I’m questioning whether Medicare has tampered/altered their approval process in the wake of the Joe Rogan podcast publicity, to make obtaining ivermectin more difficult?
