The (((people))) who own the cosmetics industry are the same (((people))) who own the supplement and pharmaceutical industry are the same (((people))) who run the FDA. Follow the money.
You must not have comprehended what I wrote in Reply #19. It had been suggested that the use of sunscreen was being promoted because its use would reduce the amount of Vitamin D people absorbed from sunlight and this reduction would lead to an increase in cancer. No citations were provided for this rather unusual theory.
As I had explained, milk naturally contains Vitamin D (although it is not as significant of a dietary source as fish oil) because it is important in the absorption of calcium, which milk is a significant dietary source of. The pasteurization process significantly reduces the concentration of fat-soluble vitamins in milk, which includes Vitamin D. For this and other reasons, in the early 20
th century the FDA authorized the addition of supplemental Vitamin D to pasteurized milk. In 2016 the FDA increased amount of supplemental Vitamin D allowed to be added to milk and other foods.
So, it is were the intention of the gubmint to increase cancer rates by pushing sunscreen use because that would reduce the amount of Vitamin D people receive from sunlight, the FDA would not at the same time authorize the addition of supplemental Vitamin D to dairy products and other foods so that people would receive adequate Vitamin D. That would be completely contradictory and illogical.
I don’t need to “follow any money”, I just follow common sense and obvious facts.
