How do you deal with ADHD?

Since March, I've been prescribed different ADHD medications (Adderall/Vyvanse)

my main symptoms are getting distracted and taking too long to complete tasks

Generic Adderall XR was decent in the beginning- I could study for longer, was fast at work, household chores were done quicker, etc.

However, there were some negative side effects to the meds: aggressive demeanor, hyper fixated on random stuff, suppressed appetite, poor sleep.

I had been on brand name Vyvanse a few years ago and felt it worked better for me so I asked to switch to that but only the generic version was available

 My stint on generic Vyvanse (40mg) was incredibly short because it made me extremely anxious, jittery, irritable, flushed face, etc.

I requested to be put back on the Adderall XR 25mg, but I think the side effects are outweighing the positive. I'm due to see the 
shrink soon. I heard instant release is a bit better with mood..

What has worked for you adhd peeps? :confused:

Personally, I’d go nowhere near those medications.  My nephew took them and he became suicidal, made an attempt, was hospitalized where they missed him up more.  After two years, he’d added anxiety, panic attacks, ocd, ODD to his diagnoses along with a weight gain of 90 lbs.  
He went cold turkey and it took about two years before he felt really normal.  Some counseling and learning to pray and do Catholic meditation helps him control his distractability.  In addition, he eats three healthy meals per day, cut out all junk and processed foods, and established a regular sleep schedule, 8 1/2 hrs.  He’s almost back to a normal weight after four years.

Those drugs are poison.  Please, seek out natural remedies and counseling to learn how to calm and focus.

Go to YouTube and type in Dr. Berg ADHD and listen to his advice. It has helped me

Look into the GAPS diet...heals the gut, which also has spiritual implications...you the gut feeling thing is not just a sying their is truth behind it...the enemy knows this and so he has filled our world with bad food, bad soil, t.v., wifi, 5g towers, bad water, and many other things. 
Prayer/meditation, getting out into the sunshine, good/holy reading, and healthy organic/pasture raised food. Thats a start
