Ever since this started, I cannot look at some of the standard habits of my own job in a hospital the same way. The ritualistic handwashing, the hand sanitizer purification ritual when entering rooms, the masking (veiling), the belief in an unseen enemy that could be lurking in all of us, the superstitious adherence to the above practices to keep away the cooties. It's all a religion now.
And honestly, I have staff now that I probably wouldn't recognize in public right away because I have never actually seen their faces.
