  • a good "natural" remedy for heartburn is, of all thing, apple cider vinegar. i used to use tums and other antacids, but started using apple cider vinegar last year and it superior to the antiacid stuff.

drink a spoonful, or dilute a spoonful in some water and heartburn go away, stay away.

    how counterinutuive

  • I think you must take it with meals to prevent heart burn.

  • You can take it before or after. It works.

I just pour a swig worth in a cup, dilute it, and down it after a heavy meal.

  • I use a pinch of baking soda in a bit of water.  Immediate results and I can't imagine that it would be dangerous in pregnancy.  It is a simple neutraliser.

Better yet, use it for tooth brushing everyday and it pretty much prevents the problem and the baby doesn't get the fluoride.

Don't try both of them at the same time unless you are in the mood for a volcano!
