  • I've had a problem with feelings of pressure inside my ear.

Tonight I put on my headphones to listen to music and I realized things didn't sound right.

I switched the right and left ears on my headphones and I had the same problem hearing from the right side, it wasn't the phones that weren't working, it was my right ear!

Oh God, have mercy on me.  What a nightmare.

I will go to the doctor tomorrow.

"Debrox" works well.  It's around 6 bucks at any drugstore.  It's just very slick oil and a peroxide solution, that loosens the wax stuck in your ear.

You can buy a home lavage bulb for 2 bucks.  You just use it to squirt warm water in your ear.  After a couple days of the debrox, the lavaging will rinse the big gob of wax out of your ear and you can marvel at it.  :jester:

Personally, i find this process much easier than going to a doctor.

  •

As this came on suddenly with no obvious cause, it's likely quite temporary and probably caused by illness, either previous or new.

As you're having it checked out tomorrow, I'd try not to worry about it.

  • Just remembered you in our Rosary, Tele. Hope it soon clears up. That flu was a particularly bad one.

It wasn't ear wax.  I just had my hearing tested.  70% hearing loss in my right ear.  She had to speak at 80 decibels so that I could hear her.  Everything visually, pressure wise, appears normal.  They said they don't know the cause, and that there's a one third chance of complete recovery, and a 1/3 chance of partial recovery.
