  • Take several swab samples, and save them, send one to a lab and find out what it is. You always keep extras in case they want to dispose of the samples and hide what it is.

  • My guess would be some kind of pollen.  I would think it's the wrong time of year for that, but I've gotten the yellow dust from pollen.  Pine pollen is yellow.  Could also be some kind of fungus.
