Asking for any suggestions:  2 years ago my left hip hurt, and then to a cane.  Went to my doc Feb. 20 and she said, here are exercises no X-rays for now. Then another friend gave me a book "Pain-Free" exercises for muscles to by-pass (?) possible hip replacement. Then another friend gave me exercise CD, very good and recommended a chiropractor . He referred me for X-rays. and it showed no cartilage and then I saw a doctor who recommended hip replacement.

I am still doing the exercises and I take supplements, and collagen, turmeric and as long as I do these things I do ok, still with cane.  I have another appt. with the best surgeon and will see what he says.

I have asked different friends for advise. Some say, hold off surgery for as long as you can.  And the thought of PCR test is no for me and I wonder if I wait, if jabs will be a must before they serve me, like that would be next.  Hm  For right now, I just keep plugging and praying for the right decisions.

Someone on here suggested a saliva test before any surgery.

We will pray for you Songbird.

I'm sorry songbird. :'(

It's au naturel here on out for me!  No more docs.

But I don't have chronic pain like you.

One thing that can really help reduce inflammation is the Keto diet and fasting.  Dr Jason Fung is a kidney specialist and has lots of info on that on Youtube and elsewhere.

Some people find CBD oil helps with joint pain.

I'm sure you are saving many souls by offering up!

Saying an Ave for you!

I am sorry to hear of your dilemma, Songbird.

A few random thoughts. Have you considered consulting a homeopath.

I have received good results, while my husband did not get satisfaction from the same homeopath. While searching “arthritis (or was it hip pain?) and hoeopathy” I came across this page which I thought might, if nothing else, help you to pinpoint the different types of discomfort and the possible remedies there are.

I would do everything possible to avoid surgery. There is a great risk, even undergoing anaesthetic, let along cutting into flesh, and bone. But you are aware of that, i am sure.

Have you tried glucosamine with chondroitin. My husband takes this with some success.

You will notice that homeopathy takes a whole person approach, taking into account not only the physical ailment but the person’s nature, how they react to the environment, etc.
