I'm a big fan of green smoothies. Any fruit or vegetable is fair game. The key to a power packed smoothie, of course, is the greens. Spinach is my green of choice.
The last green smoothie I made had spinach, celery, banana, pineapple, mango and kiwi. Also it had chia seeds in it. Oh and ice.
I really want a vita mix, but they are too pricey, I can't afford one. So I use the ninja blender my uncle bought me and it works well enough. I think any old blender would work.
I've had some awful tasting smoothies, thinking back. The worst was one that my mother made me. Beets, strawberries and banana. Oh it was terrible.
