    Gas now cheaper than milk

    JONATHAN FAHEY

NEW YORK (AP) — The sight is so surprising that Americans are sharing photos of it, along with all those cute Halloween costumes, sweeping vistas and special meals: The gas station sign, with a price of $2-something a gallon.

"It's stunning what's happening here," says Tom Kloza, chief oil analyst at the Oil Price Information Service. "I'm a little bit shocked."

The national average price of gasoline fell 33 cents to end October at $3 a gallon and dipped Saturday to $2.995, according to AAA. That marks the first time in four years that gas has been cheaper than $3 a gallon.

    household about $50 a month.

    — The drop will save the U.S. economy $187 million a day, and also boost the profits of shippers, airlines, and any company that sends employees out on sales calls or for deliveries.

    — It will take an extra 1.5 years to make purchasing a higher-priced, better-mileage Toyota Prius instead of a Toyota Corolla pay off.

    — New York's average of $3.365 is the highest in the continental U.S. South Carolina and Tennessee are the lowest, with an average of $2.74.

  • Gas has long been cheaper than milk in AZ and NC.  Three years ago I was living in NC and milk was over $5/gal, gas was $3.79

I'm visiting TX right now and milk is $3.99/gal, gas is $2.45.  Back home in AZ milk is $2.99/gal, gas is $2.47.

  • The reason gas prices have dropped so much is to manipulate the herd into "seeing no need for the Keystone Pipeline" running through the U.S. from Canada. It's a tactic by the same demons - the Saudi royal family - who have been lobbying Congress through their many front "environmental" groups to oppose the deal. But the Mockingbird media will steer the American herd into debating each other over red herrings regarding this pipeline, as to deflect attention away from foreign interests controlling American energy policy. Stupid American asses.

To briefly add to this most truthful analysis, do the sleepwalkers out there, besides those not having a clue as to what is being discussed, really think it's just a coincidence that gas prices have dropped significantly in the wake of the "Keystone Pipeline" becoming a household word? Snap out of your hypnosis.

Funny!  Sounds like a Fox news report.  Most people are better off with the drop in prices but the investment class is more concerned about their precious shekels.

  • Because when they were high it was in various countries interests to find more difficult oil fields.

That takes years to come on line.  That plus a drop in demand put speculation has driven the price down.  At sub 100 dollars so oil fields won't be economic so they will stop producing and the price will rise.

I've heard another plausible theory about opposition to the keystone pipeline. Apparently the canadian (tar sands) oil is currently being transported by rail so there is no spare capacity for the canadian grain and the farmers are finding it very difficult to rent space on the trains.

The trains are owned by Bill Gates and Warren Buffett (Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway (BNSF) ).  It is not in their interest for there to be a pipeline as currently they are making out like bandits.

  • Bottom line is cheap fuel is the biggest driver of the economy.  Its better than any tax cut or party line promises.  Just be happy.

Faux News would never report the truth of what I wrote above. Apparently, you're among the deceived sheeple who consume the fake "left vs right" paradigm of the Mockingbird media. Faux is a huge blowhard for the Bush demons, and George W literally held hands with Saudi the oil barron and despotic. They're bedfellows; and the Saudi petro industry has a lot of influence over energy policies of the U.S. and car designs (in terms of fuel economy), while they hide their real intentions with their front lobby groups. Look into Obama's past, and peculiarly, you will see financial backing in Manchurian, fabricated life from Saudi billionaires.

When it comes to petro energy and manipulation, all roads lead to Riyadh.
