Today for dinner I had fried eggplant with sweet potato and brown rice all covered in a thick roux.

I recently learned that, in some cultures alien to the one in which I was raised, people do their seasoning, "all infusing," and "healthy dosing" of spices to their meat, not in a bowl, but right in the sink itself.

Personally, even the thought of this method strikes me as revolting, but, I'm curious, Poche, if you are familiar with this culinary practice, as demonstrated by this lovely and erudite lady:

And I thought I'd seen it all.

This is just wrong on so many levels, I hardly know where to begin.  I cook my own food.  I grow some of it myself.  I typically don't eat out except to get fast food, usually for my family (they ask for it).  I make sure my food preparation is scrupulously clean.

All of the things that take place in a sink --- all the washing and rinsing of dirty dishes --- the occasional scrub-up after having tended the garden --- the kitchen sink is not meant to have food prepared in it.  It just isn't.

Looking at this, I'm reminded of the old saying "I don't eat where I s**t".  The kitchen sink is almost that dirty.

She died at 59 years old of a heart attack, per Wikipedia. One sees that video and immediately thinks "well, unfortunately, we know why".
