  • Let's put a happy marketing face on it...

Jєω-pharma controls the medical industry, with explicit goals of poisoning and bankrupting us.

    It's all in the тαℓмυd.
    Drug Pusher-Salesman
Let's see. With chemotherapy, surgery, and radiation expenses, we all should net thousands. Want that new Mercedes or BMW with all the bells and whistles, it is yours. In the meantime, the victim (patient) should live another five years and her relatives will be none the wiser.
    Lord have mercy.

  • I do not think that is prudent advice. The question may help your doctor uncover a life-threatening problem. Failing to ask the question then, prevents the doctor from making a potentially life-saving intervention.
And you will be charged for bringing up a matter unrelated to the visit.

  • I suspect that this is an insurance requirement, not the doctor's requirement.
I don't think he has had much experience with doctors.  Yet.  He'll get old one day.

I have given two examples of potentially life-saving non-pharmaceutical intervention.
I share your mistrust of "the system," but one may make prudent choices. Wholesale rejection of everything "medical" is foolish.  Avoiding that extra charge can, in some circuмstance be "pennywise, pound foolish."

I have not said that I reject everything medical.    Please be more careful how you read posts.

Perhaps it missed your comprehension that, except for your imprudent "And you will be charged for bringing up a matter unrelated to the visit" advice to conceal potentially significant symptoms to save money, almost all of my comments were directed at Maria Regina.

I advised against automatic rejection of everything "medical," but I did not say that was your position, so take your own advice: Please be more careful how you read posts.

I well recognize the problems with "Big Pharma," but I also recognize that in the "natural" times people died in their mid-40s and in these "Big Pharma" days people die in their mid-70s.

    HYPOTHETICAL:

Patient thinks to self while waiting fir the doctor: "I've been having blood in my poop. Maybe I should mention that to my doctor since I am here. Nah, I might get charged extra for it."

So the completely curable pre-cancerous polyp slowly grows, becomes cancerous, and the patient dies unnecessarily and painfully—but $75 richer.

    Great advice.

I never said to conceal important medical conditions.  You said that.  I was merely letting everyone know that, if you are on Medicare, if you bring up a condition unrelated to the current office visit, you will be charged for it.
I hope your Sunday is spiritually enriching for you, Mark.
    Have a good night.

Correct. You never said it. You just thought that was peachy keen advice.

Consider the potential ramifications of "cough," the stated concern. There are numerous potential causes of "cough"— some as innocent as allergies, others as deadly as cancer.

In the context of a symptom with potential life-threatening implications, something that might be cured completely if caught early and completely incurable if detection and treatment are delayed

In that context you thought concern about an extra charge was good advice. Go figure.

  • Flu shots are pushed way to hard for even uninformed persons to feel comfortable getting them. I went to pick up some chicken for dinner and got asked at the grocery store by their pharmacist if I wanted to get one..

Besides all the dangerous health risk with them.. they just never work.

    Agreed… to a point.
The word "never," like the word "always," is a risky word to use.
I stick with "infrequently" and "often."

Cancer | The tests you need to know about
    For bile duct cancer
Helen Moremont, of the charity AMMF, says if you have symptoms of bile duct cancer that don’t improve, ask your GP to run a liver-function test.
    For ovarian cancer
An early ovarian cancer-screening tool is in development. ‘In the meantime, if you have symptoms for longer than a 12-day period, ask your GP for a CA125 blood test,’ says Katherine Taylor of Ovarian Cancer Action. ‘It’s a bio-marker test that’s freely available.’
    For cervical cancer
Since the early 1990s, cervical cancer incidence rates have decreased by almost a quarter (23 per cent) in the UK. Women aged 25 to 49 are invited for screening every three years; 50 to 64-year-olds are invited every five years. If you experience bleeding between periods, after sex or following the menopause, or have pain during sex or in your pelvis, see your GP.
    For bowel cancer
If bowel cancer is detected early, before symptoms appear, it is easier to treat. The NHS offers two types of bowel-cancer screening. Currently, everybody aged 60 to 74 is sent a home- test kit. There is also a one-off test called bowel scope screening (which takes place at NHS bowel-cancer screening centres), which is gradually being introduced in England for those 55 and over.
    And finally…
Don’t forget the protective basics: ‘Four in 10 cases of cancer can be prevented. So if you’re a smoker, stop; keep a healthy weight; eat well and stay active,’ says Dr Jasmine Just of Cancer Research UK. ‘Help stack the odds in your favour.’

You might get charged for the mentioned tests!

  • In as much as the title of this thread regards Flu Shots, dangerous levels of mercury are an established fact.  Mr. Mike Adams editor of Natural News owns and operates a sophisticated, credentialed lab that tests for heavy metals.  The mercury content alone is sufficient reason to steer clear of flu vaccines.  Other vaccines are also suspect.  There is tremendous pressure placed on the uninformed at every turn to get vaccinated.  Consumer beware!  More information at NaturalNews.com
