  • Then why do you consult your herb book?
I pray, and then consult with books and online sources to find herbal remedies.
    Lord have mercy.

Did God write those books and online sources?

  • Let your food be your medicine. God created herbs and healing plants. He placed us in this world to live, to thrive, and to attain heaven.
    Lord have mercy.

    Did God create men?

He created men—some of who are good men who can help you, men who have invented some procedures and technology that has lengthened life spans and reduced misery.

There are, of course, imperfections in men and in this world.

That is not a rational reason to "throw out the baby with the bathwater."

I am hypersensitive to all drugs.

This is the reason why I avoid drugs.

All people have reactions to drugs, some more than others. People usually accept the risk of side effects, but in my case, side effects include rashes, digestive upsets, vomiting, and even anaphylactic shock. I have been hospitalized for such drug reactions, and the doctors at the hospital sent me home saying that I was more in danger of dying by being in the hospital where I could pick up MRSA and other deadly infections.
    Lord have mercy.

You struggle to avoid admitting that there are beneficial non-pharmaceutical medical treatments and plenty of toxic and ineffective "natural" treatments.
I counsel a prudent assessment of risk and benefit.

I am using beneficial non-pharmaceutical medical treatments. I was a pre-med student before changing to study Speech Language Pathology.

I avoid the toxic and ineffective "natural" treatments.

In the past, I used to discuss these non-pharmaceutical supplements, some of which are produced by the pharmaceutical industry, with my medical doctor, however, in the past five years, he has dramatically changed his practice. He is no longer open. Drug company reps have poisoned his thinking.

  • I do not think that is prudent advice. The question may help your doctor uncover a life-threatening problem. Failing to ask the question then, prevents the doctor from making a potentially life-saving intervention.
Yes, but you don't need a "wellness visit" for that.

I do not go for my monthly wellness visits as they are a waste of time.
What? Monthly wellness visits? Do people really do that?

Apparently, per my physician, the number of wellness visits in a year is up to the "discretion" of the "practicing" GP.

Honestly, I think he is padding his wallet. Just because I am a senior citizen, it doesn't mean that I am terminally ill.

    Lord have mercy.

As I said previously, the concept of wellness visits is so foreign to me. I always thought you go to the doctor because you are sick or sustain an injury, or if you suspect you may have a problem. Otherwise staying away is the safest option.

    Doctors make too many mistakes.

    People are too trusting.

I had a friend who was a strong robust mountain woman who would walk 20kms at a time. SHe was Italian and had been a farmer and had thick long black hair - a picture of health.

One day she told me she had been diagnosed with leukaemia. She was proud of her beautiful hair and when offered chemo etc she declined because she didn't want to lose her hair. However her three sons convinced her to go ahead with treatment. She succuмbed and took their advice.

Within a year she was dead. RIP. I don't think she ever got a second opinion. I believe if she had refused treatment she would still be alive today.

I am also wary of routine testing for cancer like pap smears, breast cancer testing etc. etc.

    I agree with you, Nadir.

Doctors are "licensed" to "practice" medicine.
    Practice makes perfect.
Perfect practice makes a perfect doctor.  NOOOOOO!

There is no perfect doctor. No one is perfect, save Christ our God.

Medicine is a brutal "art". Point in fact -- Have you ever seen the Speaker (Peℓσѕι's) face? She regularly visits her cosmetic surgeon who carves away her skin, so that her face now looks like a skull. She does not have much skin left. She is part of the walking dead, and yet, she assures herself that she is beautiful. Is she a possible risk for cancer? Most likely, because of the continual scarring and abrasion of her skin, she could develop cancer.
    Lord have mercy.

  • If you are charged for two separate visits because you addressed two matters (e.g., "wellness" and "cough") in one appointment, that likely constitutes criminal "fraud and abuse." If that happened, you might ask your doctor about such double-billing. Be sure to use the phrase "fraud and abuse" in your question. You should expect to be "fired" from that doctor's practice after you ask the question.
I suspect that this is an insurance requirement, not the doctor's requirement.

  • Is this advertisement from Norton Healhtcare?
"Some preachers will keep silence about the truth, and others will trample it underfoot and deny it. Sanctity of life will be held in derision even by those who outwardly profess it, for in those days Our Lord Jesus Christ will send them not a true Pastor but a destroyer."  St. Francis of Assisi

Jєω-pharma controls the medical industry, with explicit goals of poisoning and bankrupting us.
