  • Yes, wearing the brown scapular and praying the rosary, daily, is the last line of defense.

So, Croix, why do you think it's OK to keep signing up for new accounts after you've been banned (several times)?  This is a serious question.  How do you justify it?

Did you ever apologize to Matthew for saying he is "weak" about a week or two ago? I presume he didn't read the comment.

  • The other thing is they have something called a "wellness visit" and heaven forbid you wish to discuss a specific physical problem or malady at the wellness visit.  I was told I could either have a wellness visit or the doctor could address my ongoing cough.  If I wanted my cough taken care of, I had to make another appointment for a wellness visit.  :furtive:

My husband, unfortunately, is a smoker.  One time I asked the doctor to talk to him about continuing smoking with his chronic heart trouble.  Later, I found out that we were charged $75 for that.

One last thing, when you are asked "do you have any questions", just say no.  Anything you ask unrelated to the specifics of your current visit, you will be charged for.

  • This Wellness vist is such a foreign concept to me. I avoid doctors unless it is impoosible to avoid seeing one, like if I have a heart attack or a stroke. Which is how ir was with our parents and grandparents who were, on the whole, much healthier thanmost folk today.

    This is interesting and informative:

Thank you for that.  I thought it was mandatory. I will cancel the one I have scheduled.

  • Then I am happy for that! Mankind is always free to decide on these things.
We are too inclined to take things lying down.
As they insist: my body, my choice! Good for the goose - good for the gander!

If you are charged for two separate visits because you addressed two matters (e.g., "wellness" and "cough") in one appointment, that likely constitutes criminal "fraud and abuse." If that happened, you might ask your doctor about such double-billing. Be sure to use the phrase "fraud and abuse" in your question. You should expect to be "fired" from that doctor's practice after you ask the question.

I do not think that is prudent advice. The question may help your doctor uncover a life-threatening problem. Failing to ask the question then, prevents the doctor from making a potentially life-saving intervention.

If you are open with the Big Pharma Doctor, you will be forced prescribed drugs. If you refuse the drugs, then you will be labeled as paranoid or anxious or whatever the new diagnostic APA code applies.

Furthermore, all the diagnostic codes that the doctor lists on the form (including resisting drug treatments) are available to the Federal Government and all other doctors.

I do not go for my monthly wellness visits as they are a waste of time. Instead, I visit the doctor once or twice a year, no more. He is about to "fire me" as a patient, but at this point, I do not care. He is worthless. If I get sick, then I consult my herb book and take a natural remedy.

Resist. We are sheep no more.
    Lord have mercy.

    I fully understand your approach… BUT…

Consider an example. If you are pooping blood or have a cough, you may have a pre-cancerous condition or a tiny cancer that can be completely cured by a procedure (cut it out).

If you don't care to prevent or cure a cancer, why even consult your herb book?

BTW there are thousands of "natural" toxins.

As my dear mother so wisely advised, "Don't cut off your nose to spite your face."

By avoiding junk food, candy, soda pops, processed foods, restaurant prepared fast foods, hospital pre-prepared fast foods, and by avoiding dangerous drugs that are not safe nor effective, I am less likely to come down with an infection or cancer.

Here in the USA, the hospital fare in general is extremely unhealthful. There are very few hospitals which grow their own organic food. I would have to travel to Texas perhaps to find one Five Star rated hospital, and then I probably would not be accepted as a patient because I am on Obamacare Medicare, which is a death panel plan.

It is far safer to take a herbal remedy, a time tested herb, than to take a drug, which is a concentrated and synthesized form of the herb's active ingredient. Furthermore, these drugs lack the associated nutrients found in a herb, which all work together synergistic to heal the body. All drugs have a lethal dose (hint: they kill thousands of people per year). All drugs have side effects. All drugs are patented and are not natural.
    Lord have mercy.

    Ahhhhh, I see.

That explains why people in the 18th and 19th centuries lived so much longer than modern men.

Do you drive or ride in a car?  Walk down the street? Live in a home that can catch fire? All that too is dangerous. Life is full of risks. It behooves us to make prudent assessments of risk versus benefit.

P.S. A scalpel blade is not a pharmaceutical.

P.S. A scalpel blade is not a pharmaceutical.
Although a scalpel may not be a pharmaceutical, a surgical procedure often requires dangerous life-threatening drugs: anesthetics, opiods, antibiotics, and other drugs that are needed to reduce any side effects of the major drugs prescribed.

The anesthesiologist with whom I consulted said that he would not serve with a surgeon as I would be at risk, and he did not want to be liable for any drugs that he might prescribe due to my history of drug reactions.
    Lord have mercy.
