    Fluoride—A cuмulative Poison

Approximately 98 percent of the fluoride you ingest in water is absorbed into your blood through your gastrointestinal tract. From there, it enters your body’s cellular tissues. On average, about 50 percent of the fluoride you ingest each day gets excreted through your kidneys.

The remainder accuмulates in your teeth and bones,3 pineal gland,4 and other tissues—including your blood vessels, where it can contribute to calcification.  According to a 2012 study published in the journal Nuclear Medicine Communications:5

“Fluoride uptake in vascular walls was demonstrated in 361 sites of 54 (96 percent) patients, whereas calcification was observed in 317 sites of 49 (88 percent) patients.

Significant correlation between fluoride uptake and calcification was observed in most of the arterial walls, except in those of the abdominal aorta.

Fluoride uptake in coronary arteries was demonstrated in 28 (46 percent) patients and coronary calcifications were observed in 34 (56 percent) patients.”

Health Hazards Linked to Fluoride Over-Exposure

As the number of studies into the toxic effects of fluoride has increased, there is now support for a rather long list of potential health problems related to fluoride accuмulation in your body.

For example, according to one 500-page long scientific review,6 fluoride is an endocrine disruptor that can affect your bones, brain, thyroid gland, pineal gland, and even your blood sugar levels.

Forty-two human studies7 have also linked moderately high fluoride exposures with reduced intelligence, and over 100 animal studies have shown that fluoride exposure can cause brain damage.

Most striking among these are 30 (out of a total of 32 investigations) that have shown that fluoride lowered the ability of animals to learn and remember. The following list contains 20 of the most commonly mentioned health hazards and diseases associated with fluoride exposure:8, 9

Lowers IQ  Brain damage Bone fractures10  Disrupts immune system Increases tumor and cancer rate
Hyperactivity and/or lethargy Dementia Bone cancer (osteosarcoma)  Inhibits formation of antibodies Increases aging process
Increased lead absorption11  Muscle disorders Dental fluorosis (staining and pitting of teeth) Genetic damage and cell death12  Reduces melatonin production and leads to earlier onset of puberty13
Disrupts synthesis of collagen Arthritis Thyroid disease and lowered thyroid function

  • Fr. Feeney, 1954, on fluoridation and chlorination of water:

I should like to protest against the proposed project for the fluoridation of our water. My reason for protesting is a religious one. I want to protect water in its prime purpose, its religious purpose, as the material agent for Christian regeneration in the Sacrament of Baptism.

In the administration of the Sacrament of Baptism, it is required that the water used be natural water, the aqua naturalis spoken of by Catholic theologians. The amount of chlorine already put in natural water is not sufficient to invalidate it for sacramental purposes. Neither will the amount of fluorine to be put in, if this present project is voted through, be sufficient to do so. But it is quite clear to everyone that a positive tampering with natural water has now begun. The chlorine already added to water is intended to rid it of germs. The fluorine now proposed is intended to rid us of tooth decay.

If fluorine can be put in water to stop tooth decay, more and more chemicals and drugs can be added to suit the phobias or the whim of the latest scientific experimenter. If fluorine is needed to take care of our teeth, why not keep adding medicines of one kind or another, until water ceases to have a purpose all its own, but must be given drug-store value through additions of new substances needed for our health? Why not add vitamins, cough syrup, sedatives — to our reservoirs?

A great number of our legislators, being men with no sound Christian belief — for example, Jєωs and Unitarians — would not in the least be averse to the character of water being spoiled for the religious purpose to which a true Christian, a true Catholic, wants to put it. Therefore, as a Catholic priest, I protest.
What return shall I make to the Lord for all the things that He hath given unto me?

    How interesting!
If anyone says that true and natural water is not necessary for baptism and thus twists into some metaphor the words of our Lord Jesus Christ" Unless a man be born again of water and the Holy Spirit" (Jn 3:5) let him be anathema.

  • Good point by Fr. Feeney.  He's right in that the Jєωs and those who hate Our Lord are always looking for ways to harm Him and His Church in any way imaginable.

Even if flouride in the water has some benefit for teeth, would refraining from brushing and living a wantan lifestyle negate any gains from the flouride in the water?  I say yes.

There are young 20-somethings who need periodontal work (extremely rare in youngsters) due to drug use.  Often, their own parents are not aware of this drug use so they think the kid just has bad genes or bad luck with the teeth and it's the side effect from the drugs.
