Pasta boat versus electric kettle?

  • I want to buy a device to use to cook noodles quicker and something to use for my dorm room. I am considering either an electric kettle or a pasta boat. My only issues with the pasta boat is concerns with heating plastics and cooking stuff like ramen. I was wonder if an electric kettle could be used for pasta and how quickly I could cook pasta/ramen in it.
I recant many opinions on the crisis in the Church and moral theology that I have espoused on here from at least 2019-2021 don't take my postings from that time as well as 2022 possibly too seriously.

  • May I suggest an alternative with only a slightly larger footprint? A microwave.

  • What about a single electric burner? And you can use a lid with holes to drain the water. I find electric kettles take a short time to boil water and are multifunctional. I can see it being used for instant ramen but pasta might be tricky.

Probably not going to allow open burners in dorm rooms.
I had a little pot in college that was great for Ramen, but it was all plastic.
An Amazon search shows some similar things that have a stainless steel interior.

  • Toaster oven maybe.

Doesn’t the school have a cafeteria?
May God bless you and keep you
