    • I've seen people do it with no ill effects.. Usually the bodybuilder crowd , but average joes too.

    • Eggnog is made with raw eggs.

    But I would imagine, off the top of my head, that it is possible for eggs to be contaminated by salmonella.

    • I've gotten sick before from raw eggs once in a batter.

    However I have never had trouble eating eggs raw when I bought the eggs and cracked them myself.

    I'm sure they're quite healthful if they're not contaminated, the only problem I've heard is that they could possibly cause biotin deficiency if you ate them too often.

    • There are many good studies out there regarding cholesterol. There is the "good" cholesterol, and the "bad" cholesterol. Eggs contain GOOD cholesterol, which is what our BRAIN is made up of, and the tissues surrounding the heart. Egg yolks are wonderful for your brain and your heart.

    What isn't said enough in the mainstream, because most of those outlets are paid for by the pharmaceuticals, are that BAD cholesterol is made up of trans-fat, which is ARTIFICIAL fats, made up of "partially hydrogenated" oils which have been chemically altered to preserve the food. Eggs have NONE of that.

    I've even seen studies that suggest that not enough fat and cholesterol can cause Alzheimer's disease, and heart disease.

    I've even seen other studies that suggest that taking statin drugs cause sterility in men, most especially, and if it causes it in men, it most certainly probably causes it in women, as well.

    • Someone I know has some Spanish friends who swear on there life that raw quail eggs in some ginger ale will cure a hang over. Weather that's true or not, I dont know as I've never had the opportunity to find out. Not yet anyway. :wink:
