when you fail you can just rolled the bar off - it hurts a little but it isn't too dangerous. But maybe at 400 lbs it's dangerous.

Oh I wouldn't try that without a spotter.

You do have a spotter, right? You should never bench press heavy weights alone.

The "roll of shame" will only cause minor bruising.  That being said, I don't do it alone in the house.  I can call for help.

Keep your head up high! It takes some time to lose the weight, but with determination and prayer (I even say a rosary during walks). You can do it. I've lost 70 pounds in 6 months, including 16 this month.
Good for you!

My wife just did the same, all she did was walk and stopped eating the junk.

There's no magic pill, it's all common sense.

But if your overweight, don't get discouraged, you can lose it with a little patience and discipline.

I just benched 275 lbs.  I've got about three months to reach my goal of exceeding 300 lbs, which will be a maximum.

Wow! Impressive! I can only bench press the pole (without the weights).

Hehehe three people downrated you.  Well, wait until I bench 400 next year.  ;).
That's a lot of Tele......i'll be impressed if you do.

I maxed at 330 way back when, but I put the heavy weights down a long time ago.

But I can still rip out about fifteen pull ups.

It's all about cals and cardio now.

Of course, I don't really "diet" at all.
