The Pritikin diet is primarily a vegetarian diet but it does
allow about 2-3 ounces of meat per day. He puts people
on a diet of rice and vegetables, but limits the meat to 2-3
ounces per day.
He claims an 80% success rate of "curing" diabetes. Of
course its not an overnight cure. It seems the key is
losing weight.
Most people associate diabetes with SUGAR and become
obsessed with glucose levels. The other factor is INSULIN.
The Pritikin diet seems increases the body's ability to utilize
insulin and this automatically reduces the glucose level.
I really think taking medication is dangerous. Better to read
