Title: Coffee prices increase
Post by: Telesphorus on May 23, 2011, 03:13:45 PM
A few months ago I quit caffeine completely for a few weeks.

I was constantly drinking hot tap water.  Finally I gave in and started making tea with it.  Then, I started drinking more tea.  Finally I started drinking coffee.  After a while the cheap coffee wasn't good enough.

So I went back to Trader Joe's to see that the price of a large can of their houseblend has increased by more than $2.

I also noticed (last time I had my hair cut) that the local cheap hair cut place increased their price per cut.

Definitely unmistakable signs of inflation.

I earn my income in US dollars which I then convert to New Zealand dollars.  Prior to Obama being president one US was converting to about $1.80 NZ.  At present it is almost dollar for dollar.  Notwithstanding some strengthening of our economy, your dollar has almost halved in value since Obama became president.

That's quite a hardship for you.  I'm sorry.
