Most important of all, the gentleman clearly believes that covid-19 constitutes an unprecedented threat to the world's population. Think for a moment, if you will, of the Establishment's response to covid-19 as a metaphor derived from religion. Then, in terms of the covid orthodoxy, this belief makes him, not a heretic or a contrarian, but simply the equivalent of a dignified and reserved High Church Anglican reacting with elegant distaste to the flailing and shouting of a meeting hall filled with slum-dwelling Methodists.
