  • Nuggets are pretty gross. I can use a whole chicken as well as anybody, but the extra junk they have to add to these concoctions is pretty bad. I saw a rundown on nuggets not long ago and they have a laundry list of ingredients that have nothing to do with chicken. McD's uses 38 ingredients and as with everything else, it is the extras (mainly preservatives) used that are used to make the nuggets "convenient" that kills it.

    Being diabetic I notice a huge difference in my body's response to processed vs unprocessed meat. I loved nuggets and jerkys and pepperonis and such but I just can't eat them often anymore or I'm sick. The protein just doesn't hold up the same. The body can't use them the same way as it does unprocessed "real" meat. We make our own nuggets now and not only do they agree with my body better, they taste SO much better too!
