Do I trust the vegan doctors who say meat and dairy and oil causes heart disease? Or do I trust the ketogenic doctors who says that eating meat and dairy and oil does not cause heart disease?
I think both are right, but one has to be specific.  What you posted above is too general.

Unprocessed, organic meat is surely healthy, in moderation.  Processed deli meat is already proven to cause cancer due to the fake sodium and chemical preservatives.  This goes for all other processed meats.

Raw dairy is VERY good for you.  Processed dairy, from caged animals who are fed corn and grain (and not their natural diet of grass), is extremely unhealthy.  What makes raw dairy healthy are the probiotics (which are destroyed when it is pasteurized) and also the calcium and vitamins that are in the milk but which ONLY come from the grass and healthy herbs that cows/chickens are supposed to eat naturally.

Oils are naturally present in vegetables and fruits and that's the best way for our body to get oils (outside of raw dairy or fish).  But "plant oils" nowadays refers to all the processed oils used to preserve snack foods and also those "healthy" fats used to fry foods.  This type of oil is very different from the natural omega oils present in spinach, kale, avacados or nuts.

I agree with you about gaining weight when eating fatty foods.  Our body craves oily, starchy and "heavy" foods in the fall/winter because this is a way for us to put on weight for the winter and stay warm and also to add fat to our bloodstream, which also helps with staying warm.

In the warmer months, while we still need fat in our diet, we don't need a lot and we'll feel better if our diet is low in fat in the summer.  We'll also be slimmer, which will help us be cooler.  If we eat what is typically "in season" then we eat according to God's plan for food.  And our body usually feels better.

  • Ladislaus, do not run from the truth about sugar, fruit & rice.

Heed the aforementioned science on this thread.

    You become what you eat.

If a person eats dead flesh all of the time, you will become death.

Eat fats, a person becomes a tubby.

Excess meat, fats & oils lead to an array of health problems, but that's not the case with sugar, rice & fruit.

The typical diet of Asians, Africans & Indians is mostly rice & corn (all carbs), but rarely will you find them with obesity & diabetes.

The American and European diet is high in meats, fats & oils, and there is a far higher incidence of obesity & diabetes among the people of those continents.

  • The mental midgets down-thumb the science on this thread, but they can't refute it. They have nothing. :laugh1:

  • Reading the entire thread, it sounds to me like nothing is 100% for everyone. I have never had anything but perfect health all of my life. I always ate natural foods, things that man has always eaten. I have always exercised violently to replicate my football days to curb my violent side. I do a lot of physical work for fun that others hire someone to do. I was never big on eating deserts and sweets and alcohol is not for me, as it makes me lazy and gives me a hangover. I stopped drinking when I was like 30, because it interfered with my physical activities. When I was like 48, I discovered that too much sugar made me stiff in the joints.

I am in my 60's and in perfect health, likely in better health that 90% of the 30 year old men out there.

Everybody is different. I do not believe there is one perfect diet for everyone. That said, if you are a diabetic, why not try Croix's diet? It has worked for others.

  • I think both of you could be right. My research says that the REAL culprit in bad health (aside from the obvious GMOs) are plant oils, which are used everywhere in processed foods because they last longer than butter, coconut oil, etc.

A low carb diet is essential for the elderly or those who don’t exercise.  For those that do exercise, you gotta have good carbs.  Complex are the best but a little simple sugar won’t kill you.

Notice in your example above, I’ll be your father cut out processed foods and most plant/processed oils.  I’m also sure he ate good, quality protein.  Did he lower his intake of dairy?  I’ll bet he did.  Dairy is awful because it’s processed.  “True/raw” dairy is quite healthy, but I digress...

The point is, that your father got healthy mostly due to avoiding processed dairy and processed animal fats which are a HUGE cause of modern health problems.  Carbs were irrelevant.
    .
You are wrong.  My father didn't eat dairy to begin with.  He didn't eat processed foods, either.  We couldn't afford them.

Does that mean...if you eat a lot of sugar, rice, and fruit, you become a gluten free fruitcake?
    Oh.  That explains a lot.

As a human, in order to have a VO2 max like a Siberian Husky, and the lean musculature like a mountain cougar, you must engage in intense, prolonged physical activity. In order to sustain the energy for such human physicality, you must eat lots of sugar and carbs while omitting the fats, oils and dead flesh.
